Conveniently located, pleasant and helpful reception staff. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Bedrooms don't seem to be made up nowadays, coffees etc not replenished so overall a high price for little more than an AirBNB.

Terrible Reception staff

Provided incorrect information regarding breakfast times while checking in which resulted in us missing the breakfast. When we complained to the reception in the morning, they apologised but as soon as we left they started laughing. Terrible attitude of the reception staff - give it a miss if you have other options.

The hotel is above a shopping mall in the city center but it was extremely long distance for example to my room in the other end of the building. The room was nice and clean but would have wanted to be able to watch TV from my bed but the separate bedroom made it impossible. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Typical overpriced Sokos hotel, of course aimed for Finnish clientele. Breakfast menu not international at all. However, not many alternatives in Lapeenranta.
