We had a wonderful week's stay at Stratos House Hotel. The hotel was charming, being an old building with a communal courtyard and under cover area in a friendly village. There were many items of interest in the communal area as well as in our apartment. We stayed in the only first floor apartment 'Amogio Superior Suite' which had a small private terrace where we were able to sit outside for breakfast every morning despite being in November. We had a 4-poster bed which was very comfortable and although we did not cook, had the facilities to do so if we had wished. For us, the little touches made it such a pleasure, for example the wicker laundry basket in the bathroom, the box of tissues and bowls of sweets, peanuts, fresh fruit, cakes, wine and water left for us when we arrived as well as delicious dishes left for us on our return a couple of times during the week. However, the main reason that we enjoyed it so much was Elena and Giorgio. From the moment we arrived they ensured that we were comfortable. Sitting down with them and a glass of home-made lemonade and biscuits they gave us suggestions of where to go and what to see which was extremely helpful. Every morning they served up delicious breakfasts, different for us both as I don't eat cheese. With two savoury courses and two sweets (amazing sheep's yogurt), fruit juice and Cypriot coffee we did not need any lunch. Their aim was to ensure that we relaxed and enjoyed the island and they certainly achieved this.
