The staff were friendly and helpful. But there was and old but substantial stain on the window sill of my room and hairs on the top sheet of one of the two beds. Black ingrained grime was the window frame. The breakfast was fine.

The location is faultless only marred by local road works, but amazing for centre of town next to the station, rooms definitely on the older side and small but charming enough and comfy enough beds for a short stay.

Good value for money as I didn’t pay much. Very basic but had a bath, which is rare. Heat was on and there is a blanket, which was useful at night. Tea and coffee tray provided as well and smart tv. It’s not a modern room but it’s 2 mins to train station, albeit the road is covered with construction and you have to cross up a bit further to access station. As I was only there to meet people in evening and off very early next morning on a train, it was suitable. If you need a restful stay all day, the construction noise during the day would be a problem.

Nice clean room with big bathroom and stuff were helpful. Good position near the station and not far from centre. Lots of interesting things to see is walking distance. Lots of pubs and restaurants around. 👍

The room was nice and clean, and the staff were courteous. Disappointed there was no USB charging point, but this was a minor point, as was the toilet flush which was a bit of a hit and miss, (not reported) but we were only there for one night and we would certainly book a stay there again, just for it's central location.

Great value for money, clean, comfy bed, great shower with lots of hot water and 11am check out. Good location but very noisy with structural works going on outside at the train station - take ear plugs and you'll be fine :)
