Can't review hotel as never actually stayed there as they relocated us to another hotel saying it would meet our booking which was family room for 2 and breakfast, what we got was a single room with double bed and no breakfast, so spent weekend sleeping with my 40year old daughter with no breakfast not what was planned. They did refund £20 which was used for taxis because it was so far from where we needed to be.
Clean, tidy, good continental breakfast, nice room and shower, good valye for money, great location. Windows don't block noise outside and not keen on tv in breakfast room
Very pleasant staff
Fresh clean decor
Good breakfast
Had to ask for a spare blanket and box of paper tissues
Curtains too flimsy to keep out light from street lights
Double glazing did not shut out street noise at night

Not so good
Stayed in single room with shared bathroom. The shared bathroom/ toilet was on other floor. The bed mattress was horrible, was able to feel the spring from it. Not a good stay at all
Compared to other budget hotels, Castle Park is excellent value. It has charm, character and is immaculately tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. They even sorted out lactose free milk and decaff coffee instantly without warning. The included breakfast is delicious. The room was quiet and dark despite being city centre. Outstanding!

Was ok
Very friendly staff, clean room, but so tiny! So was the bathroom, hard to move inside. I also got a room in ground floor, so very noisy. Decent breakfast, just missed having more fresh fruits and water.
Not sure if I'll come back, I like a bit more of space.
We had the top floor, it was a good size, clean and had an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Shower room was small but did the job. Breakfast was basic, help yourself but ok! Pubs and restaurants close by. Shopping centre with in walking distance. Ten min walk to De montford hall.
Would definitely use again For location and price.

Beds need an upgrade
The location and service was good, a clean hotel but the bed was a huge let down. It was very uncomfortable and felt old which meant we had a poor nights sleep.
Excellent position. Lovely room (103). Only offered a continental breakfast and they had NO bread. Nobody made the effort to go to the shop and get some. Poor show
Pros: the staff were really nice and the location of the hotel is very central. It was easy for me to get to the office and go out to eat/have a little shop after work. The room was also pleasing, it was clean and comfortable and there were quite a few amenities available.
Cons: due to the central location of the hotel, it was quite hard to sleep at night. I was awoken by engines revving and student partygoers a few times that night. The breakfast was also not the best but it was complimentary so I won’t complain. Also there’s no lift which was quite annoying when carrying luggage.
To conclude: I would stay there again as the price and location were pretty decent, however the cons are things to bear in mind.
No need for a bar or restaurant plenty of opportunities around the area.
Very helpful staff, good sized room, everything clean and comfortable. Taxi £5 from and to station.
Buffet breakfast included.
