a decent hotel near the airport
This is a decent 3-star hotel within walking distance of Heraklion Airport. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of four for a single night. The hotel's employees were kind and helpful. The hotel serves breakfast but we used the bakery next to the hotel, which was great. However, there are a few drawbacks: the noise from aircraft was noticeable even with the windows closed, the air conditioner was weak (which is common in Crete), and the pillows were too soft for our preference (though this is subjective).

The hotel is central, near to the airport and Heraklion town. I have stayed there a few times and always found the staff very helpful and friendly. It was clean and so nice to relax by the pool.

Very close to the airport only a few minutes in a taxi. Only 7 mins walk to the airport car rental gold car. As we had a late flight and it closed at 10pm we walked to pick up the car the next day. Room was modern and had everything needed including 2 bottles of water. Breakfast was continental but in view of price paid represented good value for money.
