You’ll need a lot of bourbon to be comfortable!!
I booked The Sinclair Hotel through Hotels.com after filtering for properties with a pool and hot tub. I assumed all options shown met my criteria, but The Sinclair had neither. I messaged the hotel but received no response for two days. When I called, I discovered there’s no on-site staff—just an answering service that took multiple tries and long wait times to reach. When I finally spoke to someone, they said I could request a refund through Hotels.com. After contacting Hotels.com, they called the hotel, which refused the refund. Left with no choice, I stayed.
The “boutique” hotel looked new but lacked basics—no hangers, no extra blankets, and a broken lamp. The heating barely worked, and the shower didn’t get hot enough to steam up the glass, especially with its open-air design. After contacting the hotel, someone came to “fix” it late, but the temperature remained lukewarm.
The second night, a stranger opened my door at 5:30 AM, muttered, “how creepy,” and left. Apparently, the door lock was malfunctioning or they had the code. While the hotel later changed my door code, I didn’t feel safe. To make matters worse, loud trash collection outside my window woke me at 6:30 AM.
Overall, poor amenities, unresponsive service, safety concerns, and constant disruptions made this stay awful. I do not recommend The Sinclair Hotel.
