At the time of travelling, which was on January 6, 2025, the room keys were not working. hotel staff had to personally escort you to your room and let you in, each time you left and wanted to reenter. This was very inconvenient. Other than this temporary issue I would recommend the hotel if you have a flight from the Liberia airport.

The front desk wouldn't add our Hitlon account to the booking because we booked through Expedia. Also, the room keys weren't working making it very difficult to leave and return to your room.

No keys for the room, had to have someone come with us every time we went to elevator just so incredibly inconvenient. The convenience store was there to completely rip you off and to top it off went to go get ice from the ice machine just to fill my water with ice to then find a ridiculous amount of glass is my water. Completely unacceptable, and the hotel staff had not one bit of remorse. Would never stay here again or add a Hamilton hotel again.

The staff is great trying to deal with a poor situation. The key machine is not working for the last three days so you can’t get up and down the elevator and you can’t access your room unless the staff member comes with you.

There are two problems for our stay. First is the room card was not working for the whole stay. Staff explained it stopped working for everyone and should work later, but it didn’t. Second problem is staff didn’t mention the breakfast at all and we realized there was free breakfast included. Other than these, the room is clean and building is pretty new. It is convenient to the LIR airport

We stayed at the Hampton By Hilton Guanacaste on our first night in Costa Rica and it was literally perfect; super close to the airport, easy to find, lots of parking, great food choices for dinner and breakfast, comfortable beds and a fabulous pool! The staff was professional, helpful and very friendly. We highly recommend staying at this location - it’s the perfect launching pad for exploring more of Costa Rica!

Location is good if you are looking for a place close to the airport when flying in or out of CR. The air conditioning in our room was not working which made it hard to sleep given how how the room was (top floor of the building). I’d recommend asking for a lower floor just in case the room has poor air conditioning
