Parking on site was the only good thing about this hotel.
We had booked this hotel as it was (supposedly) near Lincoln itself. 4 miles away, not a big deal but, it takes 30 minutes drive to negotiate to the Cathedral.
The hotel is dark and dingy, requires huge amounts of money spent to update it and is no where near the prices involved. We booked a suite for a special occassion. Well, if you like a 4 poster that looks like it is from the local second hand furniture shop, furniture that is the same (wardrobe door didn't shut properly), comp robes just dumped in plastic bags on the floor of the wardrobe, cobwebs, biscuit crumbs from previous stayers (or hungry cleaner), rickety stand alone fridge with one rickety wood shelf with limited coffee/teas etc and 2 filthy cups. The bathroom had a corner bath straight out of the 60s with bodged sealing and a discoloured panel, the toilet hadn't been cleaned, the sink had major cracks that were hastily repaired with filler and the comp toiletries were 1 conditioner and 1 shampoo bottle. All this for a huge £220. We were meeting friends so didn't realise the extent of what can only be considered student digs, until later that evening. The pool changing areas need major money spent (we didn't swim but did look).Breakfast dreadful, half an hour before end time, got sat in an empty room right next to a cupboard area, and the choice was whatever was leftover. £110 refund-they knew about the sink!). Stay elsewhere, don't waste money here.
