This is a nice little hotel, located within an easy walk to several places of interest. In fact, it is right near a beautiful church. There are also a TON of dining options nearby, including a supermarket and produce market.
The best thing about this hotel is, by far, the employees. They are all spectacularly helpful and were so positive and happy during every single encounter we had with them. They gave us recommendations for places to see, places to eat, which trains and trams were the best for what we wanted, and on and on. It really made the experience in Lisbon that much better.
The one thing I didn't particularly care for was the minor repairs that had not been done. I understand this is a 200-year old building, however, broken, rotted wood in the bathroom floor and broken counter area behind the sink are things that can be easily fixed and improve the hotel drastically.
The bed was ok, as far as comfort, but the room was quite spacious, which was wonderful. There was a nice set of windows we could open and get some fresh air, there was air conditioning, and a mini fridge in the cabinets.
I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially if they perform some minor repairs. The location and the staff make the minor issues seem almost non-existent.
