The hotel is conveniently close to the train station and Basilica of Sainte Thérèse. Since we didn’t know much French communication was difficult. They were friendly but we didn’t get checked in like you would expect. They didn’t even seem to know that we were staying there until I showed them our information and confirmation from Expedia. Also, if you are checking out very early in the morning let them know the night before as there is no one available early to check you out. The room is decent and clean.
Rude receptionist. Noisy place as it's right next to the street. Over heated. Wouldn't recommend at all

slightly dated but good new bathrooms
A slightly odd hotel stuck in a time warp.
A large free car park at the rear and a very jolly Manageress who was lovely. The hotel is old but had new bathrooms, the bed was a bit to soft for me.
It is on a main road but has double glazing.
There is a huge brightly lit restaurant food was good but a little expensive

Loved Lisieux...
This hotel is in a great location, just steps away from their beautiful Church. There was some kind of mix-up with the room reservation...I am a solo traveler, yet had to take a room enough for a family of 6. The picture of the hotel is slightly deceptive...the outside is picturesque...the inside is quite another story...in dire need of a much needed makeover...shabby wall paper is colorless...the carpet is threadbare...the paint is nonexistent...the food, however, is very good.
This hotel is within walking distance to any of the places you want to see in Lisieux-- the basilica, Carmel, etc. The bed was old and small for two people. One person for the bed would be OK. Very pleasant staff. We ate dinner at the restaurant. The meal was fantastic. You should plan to eat dinner here. A lot of locals were there, so the restaurant obviously enjoys a good reputation. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
A basic but very friendly and comfortable Logi. The owner helpfully changed my room from the front to the back as I thought the front, on a fairly Main Street, would be noisy. The room I had was more basic but totally adequate and very quiet. The evening meal was excellent.
Location was great and the staff were excelllent. Could use a little upgrade and new towels but overall a good place.

Basic hotel but the restaurant is open on Sundays
It is basic hotel but with a good restaurant. The restaurant is open oin Sundays which is unusual in Frane so this is why we have used this hotel many times when in France returning from our annual trip to Le Mans.

Not for English speaking guests!
I have stayed there four times due to its convenient location and hoped for with improvement each visit. Fair price and clean room. However, the owners and staff make no effort to help English speaking guests despite the number of English speaking pilgrims and visitors. Service at dinner time in the hotel restaurant was not great at my table or at the adjacent one. Doors locked in the evening and early in the morning making it almost impossible for guests to get to their room after 10 PM or go for an early morning walk without being locked out. These issues are persistent. Other hotels and restaurants in the town are more accommodating.
The hotel provided a pleasant experience as a person staying in Lisieux for the evening. When we arrived, while I booked 3 rooms through expedia, they had only reserved one room. Thankfully they had two other rooms available for the other members of my group. They claim to serve English speaking pilgrims, but that's only if that person is available. While that made the trip somewhat challenging, overall, it was a wonderful place to stay. If I was in Lisieux again, I'd book there in a heartbeat.
Enjoyed our stay. One of the few places with a restaurant open on Sunday. Food was very good.

Fine for a one night stop.
Not that I should I expect people to speak English, but their ability improved when it was time to pay. Nonetheless the check in went fine. Breakfast is too expensive for too little. If you just need a place to sleep before getting up early to see the Carmelite convent and Basilica then this is fine.
Stayed here because of the reviews. The owners seemed very nice and were very helpful. Unfortunately, the room was a bit on the small side and the road noise was too much. Luckily, I had some earplugs. Found a lot of hair that had not been cleaned on the bathroom floor, however, I would assume that this was an oversight. The restaurant in the hotel looked nice to eat, but I did not try it.
i could rate it higher if only for a few things but could have been rectified...the owner does not speak english it would have been harder if i did not speak a little french. the room was a bit small but sufficient, it was hot and could not control the pipe heater so slept without a cover. i did not know where the hotel was but got direction from the train station, it was uphill going there but manageable so if with elderly companions, please take a cab. I like that everything was good walking distance to the Basilique, Carmel and L'Ermitage, and just 2 blocks down the street were nice restaurants. All in all, very pleased and would probably stay there again.
I STAYED AT THE SAME HOTEL IN LISIEUX, FRANCE FOR NINE DAYS. IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT TO ALL THE PLACES I WANTED TO SPEND TIME AT. I WAS ON A RELIGIOUS PILGRIMAGE IN THE CITY OF SAINT THERESE OF LISIEUX. THE BEAUTIFUL SHRINE BASILICA WAS ONLY A 5 MINUTE WALK FROM MY HOTEL. THE TERRASSE HOTEL WAS IN A PERFECT LOCATION FOR EVERYTHING.
great food ! nice people ! good room what more could you want "well at least two lobsters" come to think of it ! will sort that next year, see you again same time.
I LOVE this hotel and would have no qualms about staying here again. It is VERY close to the Basilica St Therese. While the common areas are dated, my room was modern and perfect. The decor in the restaurant is also very dated but the food was superb. The staff speak little English and I speak little French but it all worked out very well.
For frequent business trips to Paris, I always stay in what many believe to be that city's best hotel. On a recent business trip to Lisieux, however, I discovered this inexpensive yet welcoming hideaway. Kind, hospitable people in simple surroundings. To me, here was authentic France....
