Great hotel.
We were there for one night and will definitely be back. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds comfy. Reception, bar and restaurant areas were clean and comfy. Hotel happy to accomdate leaving luggage with them before and after check in and out. Great location but Quiet location.

Good location, bad bed, terrible breakfast.
Decent quality hotel and room. Bed was springy and noisy. Not comfortable at all. Breakfast was shockingly poor for a hotel of this quality and price.

Good location and helpful staff. However the bed is so uncomfortable, even after the staff added a mattress topper/duvet over the mattress. It was too firm to sleep on, and the pillows were also rubbish. I won’t be staying here again.

A great hotel to stay in York.
The hotel is clean with friendly staff. The breakfast is wonderful. The location is great with a walking distance to old the city wall and main attractions. But the hotel is pricey.

Great stay in York
We enjoyed our stay. We picked it for the location, as we wanted to be close to the train station, and that worked out well; it’s only a short walk into the central area of town and is itself within the old city walls. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff members were friendly. We’d recommend!

Not the best birthday stay!!!
We had a drink at the bar and were served flat lager when asked to make it more lively we were given a grumpy look from the older bar lady no chat very rude!! The bed was horrendous every time you moved the springs were so noisy. There was no fresh air in the room and the air con did not help we did not sleep well at all. We complained at reception his name was Thurston he apologised but it seemed rehearsed like it was a normal day for him. This was a 60th birthday present from my husband we were both disappointed. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had though

Hotel itself was great, breskfast great, room size good, only negative was the bed!! It was like sleeping on cornflakes, the noise just sitting on it was awful, if you moved an inch once laid down, it was horrendous!

Excellent York hotel!!
This is an excellent hotel to stay in when visiting York. Location is great, staff were friendly and accommodating, room was excellent. Even got a cooked breakfast! The only slight downside would be that the discount on the cost of parking wasn’t very much. Would stay there again no problem if we return to York and recommend to friends and family.
