Old run down scrap heap
Rooms red hot can’t open window and then when you have a shower may as well have a bath as the bath fills with water. Old and run down and charging 85 a night for that is a bit much

A vey unique hotel with a shabby chic stye. We always stay here, they are big rooms, getting a quiet and peaceful nights sleep. It’s a good price and It’s near to the town centre, just a10 min walk to the Cavern

Beautiful old grand building but needs the rioms updating. Bathroom was damp and old. We also found the previous occupants hair piece in our room so it obviously hadn't been cleaned properly. Towels were tiny

The Adelphi has definitely seen better days and is badly in need of complete refurbishment but having said that the location, price, cleanliness and staff couldn’t be faulted - we had a lovely last minute stay after our trains were cancelled. The bar staff were attentive and friendly and the front desk staff could not have been more helpful. The room was huge with a separate wardrobe area and a separate bathroom The rooms were old but very clean, heated towel rails and lovely toiletries were all provided I’d highly recommend if like us, you’re looking for value for money and are not fussy about style and don’t intend to be in the room long.

The property and situation being city centre was good but the food was barely warm Roast potatoes assuming these were cooked from frozen not cooked long enough vegetables lagain warm as was the beef in gravy
