Exceptional

In ascending order of preference:
1. The large room was ok but furnished in a very basic way. Bed was ok. Distinct shortage of power sockets was annoying (only one at the other end of the room from the bed!)
2. The cooked breakfast was good
3. The manager was great: very friendly and welcoming
Our host, Dave, was a very congenial host. He made sure we were comfortable at all times.
The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious.
Warm friendly greeting on arrival. We were shown to our room which was very clean and tidy.
The Inn is located in a quite location with little traffic noise.
Our evening meal was excellent.
Breakfast was very enjoyable.
We would definitely revisit for the food!
Our only gripes were that our room was located on the first floor over the bar toilets (nothing can be done about that). More concerning was that our bed mattress was very uncomfortable. (ok on the window side but hard and lumpy on the other)
If you're looking for a convenient place to stay with a warm welcome where you're made to feel at home, then look no further. The food is excellent, with a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, and a delicious evening meal (including Trout :) ) to welcome you back after your day out. The staff are most kind, with nothing too much trouble for them. Well worth a visit if you're exploring Powys / Bannau Brycheiniog
Comfortable and made to feel so welcome. Meals are exceptional and the hosts and staff are gracious and fun. Would so gladly stay with Dave and Heather again.
Booked this as part of onwards travel after staying at the Eisteddfod in Tregaron.
A very friendly welcome, good food and a beautiful area close to the Brecon Beacons.

Cosy village pub which was clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious with good amenities and pleasant views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. We also had an evening meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Dave for very pleasant weekend stay.
