I was very surprised by how great City London Hotel was. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was lovely. If I come to London again I would stay here.

Nearly a 5 Star review if only for the genuine and sincere warmth of the owners, Shahrok & Sharam who were marvellously welcoming. Sadly, i cannot give 5 stars, as though I have no reason to disbelieve the manager (Medhi) when he says that the mattresses were recently replaced and we’re all “high quality” the mattress on my bed was so hard it was akin to sleeping on a door; so I can only assume they were “high quality” DOORS.

Breakfast beneath the hotel was free, fruit and bottled water available around the hotel and in the rooms. Building is old but very well cared for and tastefully updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definately stay with them again.

I have never been to a hotel where were so welcomed. Shahram welcomed us as we were his family. Always smiling. Always looking for a way to make us more comfortable. When I told him my mattress was too hard for me, he immediately had it changed to a more comfortable one! Fruits, biscuits, juice and an endless supply of water bottles were always ready for us as we leave or arrive back to the hotel. His staff, Eva in particular, were equally friendly - even noting that I liked plain yogurt in the morning and so one was procured just for me. It was really incredible. The only drawback of the room was that it lacked closet space. Living out of a suitcase for a week was a bit difficult. But other than that, I find no fault in the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, hotel centrally located, and staff welcoming. What more does one need? A heartfelt thank you to Shahram and his staff. We will be back!

Great value, great option in london

Pleasantly surprised. For the price this was a great stay in a decent enough location. Room was fairly basic but clean and adequate for our purposes. Bed relatively comfy, aircon/heating worked, nice to have fridge and tea/coffee facilities as well as water and fruit. Shower very small but clean and warm so did the job! Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. We’d stay again. Thanks Sharam

This hotel was amazing! The staff were so lovely and made us feel at home! The location is fantastic only a short bus ride to all the tourist locations! We felt so safe and will definitely be going back next time we go to London!

Such a warm hug welcome by reception and owner with offer of fruit. Small but adequate with fridge and daily free water and coffee plus twice got free fruit. Very clean excellent location lovely staff .will stay here again

The staff were really friendly, helpful and polite any there was always a supply of fresh water and little biscuits . Rooms were promptly cleaned . The only downside was the bedroom and bed and en-suite was very small with a very small wash basin and lack of shelves or storage however the shower was excellent .
