Poor overall
Entering the lobby was a smell of sewage, also in the bedroom. Very expensive for what it was. Paper thin walls. Could hear anything going on in surrounding rooms. Wouldn't recommend.
The hotel looks very new and clean. But the service is very bad. Starting from the entrance, which has very bad signage. Then it took ages to check in (over 20 min), most of the staff has a rude attitude. It is like they are doing a favour to provide bathroom mats or answering your hotel questions. In 4 nights, all guests were disturbed by fire alarms twice. Being one very late at night. Well, accidents happen, but they should at least tell the guests what happened. Long story short, having to leave in a rush from the room, spend over 30 min freezing outside, and not even an apology or communication.
In both cases I had the impression it was just a failure in the system.
Bed and pillows are not great.
Room is much smaller than the pictures on the hotel page.
relatively cheap for London with a central location and plenty of restaurant choices near by. Reception staff are welcoming and efficient, and I got a free upgrade. You hear the underground trains quite clearly - hence you get free earplugs. Bare basics in your room so no kettle or iron although there is an ironing room on site. I couldn't get a phone signal in my room so had to work at reception which was the only place that had a decent signal. That was rather inconvenient, but being underground (4 floors below ground) it didn't come as a surprise. Its fine for a night but I wouldn't stay again as lack of phone signal was an issue for me

OK, so… one thing I did not realized is that the name “Zedwell UNDERGROUND Tottenham”… is literal. The hotel is fully underground (I stayed at MINUS 5th floor). Its not for the weak of heart. The issue I had is that there was a fire scare while I was there, on the second floor of the building ABOVE the hotel. It made me realize how dangerous that whole scenario can become, when you sleep underground. The next day, the fire alarm went off again, while I was in my bedroom and I got frantically scared and had to pack all of my things and run through the. Once again: it’s not the hotel. It was me. I didn’t read the description well enough. Management was very nice and I personally found it quiet.
Quick check in. Comfortable bed but please be aware the underground is very loud overnight and the also you can constantly hear the internal water piping system which is also very loud. Complimentary ear plugs would go a long way
I’ve stayed at this hotel once before as a solo traveller, and I was surprised to find that this time the room we booked as a couple was significantly smaller than my single room.
We were kept awake not by the rumbling of trains, but by the intermittent air conditioning and the fact that the tap or shower kept intermittently dripping despite being turned fully off.
The bed was quite hard, and we only had one pillow each. I asked for more but was told this wasn’t possible.
Finally, this is the second time I have booked through Hotels.com to find later that the price I was shown when selecting the room was lower than the price I was charged. That combined with the very poor value “One Key” loyalty scheme that replaced the former scheme means I will only use Hotels.com if there is no alternative.
When tubes running it is like thunder rolling over
The reviews that state the hotel is quiet only refer to when the tube is not running, I think between 3am and 6am. Outside of those hours you hear ever tube which is like a large thunder breaking over head. And at 6am it is like an alarm clock.
No breaksfast. I think there may have been coffee, but water jugs was empty.
The rooms are beyond minialist and sparce to say the least. They are so greedy and did so much cost saving that in room 5020 there are two coat hooks, and they are rubbish. It means the rest of you clothes are on the floor with your bag and shoes. You couldn't hang a suit or a dress up. Bath was good except there was no glass to drink from in the night. I shall never visit this place again
Noise from the train line above until midnight, then started again at 5.45 in the morning.
No hot water in the shower, just tepid!
Cheap, but still n balance I wouldn’t use it again.

Basic but central
It’s actually quite a basic hotel and there are no comforts in the room. Nowhere to sit, no desk, no tv, no facilities to make tea/coffee. WiFi is good.
