Excellent location, close to Tottenham Court Road Station so perfect for a trip to Central London.
This place is definitely 'no-frills'. That includes no mattress or pillow protectors. On the subject of laundry, the duvet cover, sheets and towels had many hairs. I know it's been cleaned and didn't matter to me, but perhaps not somewhere for the squeamish.
The communal areas, corridors etc. Smelled very bad. To be entirely frank, it smelled like sewers. Luckily this didn't extend into my room.
The plumbing in my room made very loud and strange noises after running the tap or shower. I hope this didn't disturb my neighbour.
I didn't rate the customer service very highly. I was passing the hotel a couple hours before check in and thought I'd ask if my room was ready on the off-chance. The lady at the desk actually laughed which, even if she'd been asked that question a hundred times that day, wasn't a reasonable response. Upon check out I wasn't asked if I'd enjoyed my stay either.
£15 per bag for left luggage also seems excessive, especially with a relatively early 10am checkout time.
Unlike other reviewers, I found the WiFi acceptable and must have been in a quieter room as I wasn't disturbed by the underground trains at all.
