As soon as we checked in, I noticed the commode running. I fixed that, and then an overwhelming smell of mildew was coming from the bathroom and seeping into the room. We opened the windows to let it air out, and this seemed to work the first night. By the second day, it was clear we needed to report the smell. When we did, the person at the front desk said that they were completely booked and could not change our room. I asked if we could get some kind of a discount, and they said that I could not since I booked through Expedia. I asked for a voucher for a free night on a future visit, and they said they could not do that unless I was an IHG member. By the evening of our last night, they said they found us a room, but that just seemed too little, too late. I asked if the smell was a known problem and they said no. But then we noticed when we were leaving, that the adjacent room had the door propped open with fans and running.
