I had a great stay at the Royal Pagoda. It's my second time staying here. It's conveniently close to Downtown LA and is quiet and nice hotel for the price. The room is spacious and all the necessities. The only slight problem is parking is limited but always have had a space.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. Originally I was worried, as I was coming in from across the country and was not at all familiar with the neighborhood or city. But, I was pleasantly surprised at not only the safety but also the cleanliness of this property. We were able to leave and walk down to a bunch of shops in Chinatown, walk to breakfast and lunch, grab dinner, and use a code to return back inside our room. I'm so thankful that this property was so well run, and I will definitely be recommending it and staying here again in the future!

If you stay in one of the connecting rooms, you can hear all the talking in the room beside you. Other than that, no problems. The rooms are very clean.

My main issue with this motel was customer service. The front desk boy who helped us was very rude. I arrived at the property 30 minutes before check-in…everything in the motel is closed before 3 pm. I knocked on the window to ask if I could leave my car parked in the motel parking lot while I walked to the restaurants nearby. I knocked for about 10 minutes, nobody came out, so I grabbed my phone and called the motel, it rang about two times….an Asian boy came out to just hang up the phone, once he came out, I knocked on the windows again to get his attention…he opened the windows and only said “check in is at 3” and closed the windows…he didn’t let me get a word out. When we came back to check-in at 3:30 pm, he was still there but had a bad attitude, wasn’t really greeting the costumers, as the costumers walk to the front desk all he said was “ID”. You guys need to do better with customer service! My experience was horrible.

The front desk is very rude. Need quarters for vending machine and waited for 20 minutes for someone to come help. Then got attitude from them because I woke them up. I didn’t pay for this treatment.

It was a nice stay for the night after a concert. Super plus was the fridge, we had leftovers and was so nice to be able to bring them back without wasting. Also comfy beds but definitely should tear down half the closet to make the bathroom bigger....all in all i will stay here again!

Don’t take room facing the street if u are lite slep ,there is a bar across the street..the stuff is rode the room have a strong odor of sewer that they tried to cover up with Clorox or some strong chemicals that if u have sensitive eyes will boder you.like they say you get what you pay for it.
