Underwhelming
We stayed for 4 nights. I feel like this hotel and the staff think they are special, but beyond the pretty decor it’s a very mediocre hotel. Michelin awarded them 1 Key recently, which is the equivalent of getting a star on the restaurant side of their guide - which they don’t dish out lightly. I am quite shocked they did. Pros - neighborhood is great. + Nice vibes & cool decor, also very clean. + A rooftop bar, & coffee shop on premises. Main restaurant was closed during our stay. + Bath soaps were super nice. + Water taps and ice fridge on each floor are a nice plus. Cons - The lounge next door to them plays BLASTING music with thumping bass from 10pm until well after midnight starting on Thurs thru the entire weekend. - The walls in general are thin, could hear our neighbors consistently throughout our stay. - Valet is slow, but is only real option for overnight parking since street spots have a max of 4 hrs. - Fridge/mini bar wasn’t working in our room. - Low lighting in the bathroom & no fan. - The streaming/casting feature on our TV did not work, even after calling the front desk to troubleshoot. - No gym or pool on site. We knew this going in, but still something you commonly find at plenty of hotels. - No coffee/tea in the room

Not a very good experience.
The accommodations were poorly lit, and the housekeeping staff's efforts were insufficient. While they made the bed, they neglected to thoroughly clean the room. Despite my request to the front desk to have the room properly cleaned, they failed to do so.

NU LU location is gresr
Cute boutique hotel in the revitalizing NU LU area of Louisville. The decor was unique and eye catching. The robes even matched the wall color in the bathroom. Cool homage to mid century and lovely little French flair. Roof top bar is always a plus. Right in the middle of shops

Wow, weekend getaway success
My werkend respite set my by my husband was 100 times better thanks to the quality hotel he blindly chose. There's no doubt this will be my chosen hotel from that first stay on. The hotels great location, cleanliness, comfort and beautiful design is above par. Being a previous travel nurse I have stayed in many hotels. Most cost way too much for minimal comfort. Most are usually downright dirty. I was very pleased by the quality, comfort and cleanliness not only of my room but the entire hotel, including the attached coffee shop!! I can't wait for my next getaway.

The hotel was very nice. If you like Wes Anderson films, you found your place. We would not, however stay here again. While the decor is great, service and amenities are severely lacking. There is no coffee in the rooms. If you want coffee, you go down and pay $5 for a cup of average (at best) coffee. We checked out on a Saturday morning to head to our next destination and the shop was out of coffee and didn’t find this out until the shop opened at 7. Complimentary lobby coffee is advertised in the welcome brochure, this is false. There is a club that blasts tech music until 3am that is connected, not affiliated, to the hotel. Even if you had noise cancelling head phones or a sound machine you can’t escape the teeth rattling bass. There is a clientele for music like that but it ain’t in the hotel next door. I can’t imagine that being acceptable to people that are there for business needing a good nights sleep. The rooms are super dark. Good luck trying to find anything in the room after sun down without a flash light. I get it, quirky and cool is the theme here but what if you need to get dressed before the sun comes up or need something before bed? You cant see anything. Ladies, good luck with hair and make up. Yes, lighting is poor in most hotels, but this one takes the cake. If you are not in a rush to do anything, can sleep through house music blasting until 3am, aren’t a coffee drinker, and travel with a miners cap to see in the dark, you found your place.

Great hotel with a unique and artsy charm to it! Loved that we were able to bring our dog with us as well. Very convenient and in a fun part of town with shopping and restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again.

Upscale, hip, and comfortable with a French twist. We loved the room decor and the color choices, the robes in the room for use are a nice touché. We especially liked the rooftop bar and the view it offers. Great hotel and look forward to visiting again.

This is a very interesting quirky stylish hotel which is cleverly decorated to feel modern in an old fashioned way, which I recognize makes no sense unless you have been there. Very convenient for Louisville City FC.

*WEDDING GETTING READY*I booked the Suite Genevieve for my wedding- (for night before & night after wedding) with the suite to be used as a getting ready space. My wedding photographer had recommended their space & I saw the advertised wedding posts on their social media. My photographer reached out prior, to ensure we would be allowed and able to get photos- rules, etc. The actual suite was gorgeous, bed was very comfortable & the size of the room was great. The hotel itself is gorgeous and in a great location. However—— I do not have the name of this employee as I was in the chaos of getting ready & did not interact with them directly. This individual was telling every bridesmaid/ my mom day of that we were breaking policy and we’d need a media pass and that we would be charged money /on a timer from marketing. From what I understand this individual was rude to my bridesmaids, photo and video, and mom to where they all felt very upset as to how the situation was being treated. They called my room phone multiple times while I was getting dressed into my wedding dress & demanded my photographer to come down (even when she explained she was getting photos of my mom helping me into my wedding dress.) It worked out- another employee stepped in & my photographer had proof of prior communications. Other staff were very nice and helped us get photos to where we had plenty of time. We did have good. I just overall did not appreciate the stress this caused on the day.
