We had 8 in our group, and the house was just the right size. We appreciated the amount of seating in both the living room and dining room. We've stayed in a lot of vrbos, and most do not have the amount of seating for the amount of people staying. We used the dining area a lot for playing games and eating our meals.
We enjoyed the downtown area and appreciated the short drive. We enjoyed a day trip kayaking down the river (highly recommended).
The location was peaceful and quiet. We saw deer in the neighborhood every night. We enjoyed the porch swing (although it's hung a bit too high - when we sat back in it, we couldn't reach the floor)
Bring all your own food. There were no condiments or spices/salt/pepper (except cinnamon). The kitchen had enough dishes. There was not a crock pot, which is a staple for us on trips as we bring a lot of our food frozen and put in the crockpot to cook while we are out for the day.
There are not a lot of electrical outlets (to be expected in an older house), so keep that in mind for technology charging. (6 in our group were teens/young adults with a lot of different devices.
As others have mentioned, there are not locks on the bathroom doors. We made a makeshift "in use" sign out of a paper plate to use, and made sure to knock before entering.
There are some rooms that could use a paint touch up, but it all seemed to be clean and well prepared for our stay.
Overall, if we were to ever be in the area again, we would stay again.
