This used to be my favorite location to say at during our st Maarten vacation but this time the property look like several thing was wrong . The room door looking broken and the light in the bathroom stop working , the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall , the balcony door was broken so there weren’t anyway to close it we just pull it in . It look like active repair / construction was been done during.

While resort is older and in need of a little TLC, my family and I could not have been happier with our stay. We rented one of the villas and had the time of our lives. Everyone at the resort, employees and guests, could not have been nicer. If you get a chance, definitely go to the bar and meet Ramona. Great bartender. Very friendly. Always engaging, She gave us tips on things to do and where to go. Can’t wait to go back again.

The hotel was still recovering from significant damage due to hurricanes in previous years. Much of the island was this way. The room in which I stayed had some issues, but was also very comfortable. The staff at Sapphire was wonderful. Each and every staff member was so friendly and helpful with anything and everything. It made the damage to the building more than tolerable. Overall, I would stay again.

The property is run down and the toilets didn't work had to use a pot to flush.b They came to work on the hot water left the hebdront off the sink with pipes and gravel exposed and didn't come back.

The place and our unit was rundown and needed repairs. The toilet was ineffective and inefficient when it came to flushing. I had prepaid in full our stay at Sapphire Beach but when it came to checking out, I was told that I owed an amount of over $900.00 USD for my stay. I had shown evidence of my prepaying in full with my credit card. This annoyed me as I was challenged by the staff member dealing with me.

The location was good easy to walk to restaurants and Mullet beach providing you don't have any issues walking up hills. It took 15 minutes from the time we left our room to get to Mullet beach. Grocery stores 6-11 minutes by foot.Room is tired if you have stayed in Cuba its similar. The rooms are a fair size as well as the balcony. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View suite. I got a great price and would stay there again depending on price. A relative stayed at the same time as us paid about 1200 US more for the same room- in that case it was not worth it. The building felt safe. the pool was warm but boards around the pool needs work. No real nightlife at this location. We never used the air conditioner as the room smelled when we had it going- however this was not the case with My Aunts room so its hit or miss. It was fine as we opened the doors to the balcony until we went to bed. Sprayed the balcony with bug spray to keep the bugs down. Our dishwasher never worked but we lacked many essential dishes etc to cook so ended up eating out most days. So for a few cups glasses we never needed it. Price would determine if we would stay there again. Probably a 2.5 star. My 26 year son was thinking of visiting , he never did but would of been bored here.Great for relaxing trip, with low expectations of accommodations. Proximity by foot to Mullet beach would be why I would return if the price was right.

It's nice that there was a pool right there on site. Enjoyed the nightly happy hours and different activities that were provided. The place was close to many different restaurant choices and if youre up to walked about 1 mile, more restaurants and beaches!

Upon arriving I had to wash all the knobs and handles as they were not very clean. There were bugs on the counter. After many cleaning the bugs were almost gone. Shower knob was just hanging by a thread and they had no replacement for it. The staff and service were excellent. My coffee maker broke and was replaced immediately. Check in and check out went quite smoothly.

Location was on the water. No beach to lay out on however. The interiors were very dirty and not kept up by maintenance. The first time we stayed there a few years ago, there were actually mice running around the kitchen at night.We reported to the front desk and they didn't do anything. I have multiple pictures, and I will share them on line. We paid for a ocean view and received a very limited partial ocean view blocked by the restaurant and bar, when we requested to be move to a unit with a better view, they stated they were completely full, however, at night there were many rooms that had no lights on. The room phone did not work.The lock on the slider did not work, so they had to rig it. The bed mattress there very old and uncomfortable, The bathroom toilet ran the entire time. There really is no maintenance people to take care of this place. Overall it's very run down. If you're just looking for a cheap place and don't care at all about the condition, then it might be okay with you.Don't mind an unkept dated room.That's not very clean. We will not give it another chance to improve and we will stay somewhere else next time.
