A very spacious lodging situated only 300 meters outside Lucca's medieval city walls with the whole centre and the railway station within walking distance, private parking

This location has some obvious advantages; You can drive directly to the lodging and park in its inside parking area. You can walk to a variety of stores and shops, to restaurants, and to public transportation. An added asset is a large and private terrace, unusual in a lodging with such a central location.
The location is ideal for people who prefer city life to country idyll as well as for people who value being close to public transportation. We want you to note that the house is close to the train station, but as with all cities, the trains drive slowly close to residential areas and there is no traffic during the night.

The house is very charming; it is old, but newly restored, the décor is cozy. The floors are the typical graniglia stone and the ceilings have exposed beams.

The interior of Arianna flows over three floors and consists of:
An entry, a living area with stereo and smart tv, and a large well-equipped kitchen with dining area (gas burners, oven, dish washer, microwave oven, fridge w/freezer compartment). It is a great surprise to walk directly from the kitchen on to the very private terrace made of medieval stones where in the daytime you can enjoy the sun, or find shade under the trees and the large parasols. Later in the day you can grill here and enjoy the quiet of the evening under the trees. It almost feels as if the place is in the country, which of course it was when the house was first built.
On the first floor are two double bed rooms and a bathroom with shower.
On the top floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom and shower. All rooms are spacious and sunny.

First thing to know…there is no WIFI!!
the home was likely very grand in its hey day but feels run down. we happened to be there during a heat wave and with no air conditioning we were sweltering and ended up staying in a hotel one night just to get some sleep. the home is directly across the street from thr trains so if noise and heat and no wifi are tolerable to you have at it. it is a quick walk into the historic center so that’s a plus and it is gated hich room for 2-3 cars so thats good too. the next door neighbors were a bunch of young boys who were less than quiet as you might expect.

The property is very well equipped and the location for the train station is literally not 5 minutes from getting off the train . Butchers just around the corner , fruit and veg further on and major supermarket just 15 mins walk . Only complaint was that one of the toilet seats was loose and cracked which could have caused a serious injury and should have been spotted on inspection and replaced before we arrived . Otherwise we all enjoyed our stay . Regards Tom Stewart

Alles hat von Anfang sehr gut geklappt. Im Vorfeld wurden wir ausreichend informiert, vor Ort waren bei Bedarf Ansprechpartner erreichbar und auch die Schlüsselübergabe am Anfang und am Ende war absolut problemlos. Das Haus selber ist klasse. Es hat vier großzügige Schlafzimmer mit sehr guten Betten, zwei modern eingerichtete Badezimmer und eine großzügige Küche mit langem Tisch für viele Personen. Im EG gibt es zusätzlich ein Wohnzimmer, das wir wegen des guten Wetters gar nicht genutzt haben. In der Küche war an Geschirr etc mehr vorhanden als man braucht und es fehlte an nichts. Das Beste war der kleine Garten hinter dem Haus, mit eigener Terrasse, einem langen Tisch und zwei Sonnenschirmen Falls man überhaupt etwas zu beanstanden gibt: in den beiden Schlafzimmern zur Straßenseite mussten wir die Fenster nachts geschlossen halten, da es durch den Bahnhof doch etwas laut war. Man kann aber ja die Türen zum Flur geöffnet lassen, dann geht’s. Eines hat wirklich etwas gefehlt: wir hätten uns WLAN gewünscht, das Datenkontingent auf den Handys war dann doch recht schnell ausgeschöpft.
