Need to communicate better
Prior to our arrival the Family I had booked was damaged by a water leak. Which I fully understand that things like this happen. However we only find out when we come to check in that there are no more family rooms and we now have 2 separate rooms, albeit next door to each other. We were told when checking in that someone should have called us. The only communication I received from the hotel was the standard email sent by most hotels prior to a visit. Whilst having 2 separate rooms would be a problem for most family, it is for us when the children are aged 6 & 8, and the 6 year old is deaf. I put our case to the receptionist who could only offer us a free soft drink by way of compensation. I appreciate things happen that are out of the hotels control. But not communicating is within the control of the hotel. Had they called or emailed I could have made them aware of our situation and better arrangements could have been made. In the end my wife shared with one child and I shared with the other. Not great when spending 3 nights and having to go back and forth between rooms.

Great to stay back at hotel padoue. Hotel reception area lovely. We arrived late at night so not aware until following day that we didnt get much daylight into room. We had a shelter above us and looking out side street to a derelict hotel. Unable to see sky which during a weeks stay. Room was ok, a bit on small side but had a walk in shower that we requested. The toilet needs fixed it made a loud noise every time we sat on it. The bedside light broke in the room and was reported numerous times both at reception and on phone but noone ever came to fix it. It made a dark room even darker. The cleaners literally fixed beds and changed bins but no othwr cleaning. Had to leave a note to ask for fresh linen and also ring for toilet rolls and soap / sink to be cleaned. Breakfast staff amazing and breakfast great. Coffee machine a bit tempermental. Bar area lovely and friendly staff for a drink or coffee. Very close proximity and one of the best hotels to stay in at lourdes. If we were returning id ensure we got a room looking out to front of hotel.

We visited the Lourdes Sanctuary, and this hotel was perfect. It's a walkable distance from the Grotto. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with suggestions and ideas. We were driving and getting there can be a bit of a challenge due to one way streets your GPS may not recognize. It is more than worth the effort to stay here.

We had some problem in our first room and they immediately moved us to a better room. The only concern we have is that there is no 'non-skid' mat on the bath tub, there is no holding bar to hold on to. It is slippery when wet. Please provide rubber mat on the tub to prevent accident. Thank to you all the nice and hardworking staff and specially the waiters and head waiter during breakfast and dinner. Thank you much!
