A dream spot! A lovely house for a family, friends, or for a group up to 8 - 10 people, directly at a child-friendly and excellent swimming lake, with the use of a large Canadian 'Lindner' canoe which can also be used for good fishing. Sagen' dates from 1938 and has been completely renovated in authentic Swedish style; it has a large Finnish family sauna, large kitchen, a play/music room with piano, several fireplaces, two bathrooms and four bedrooms. In the large barn table tennis is played and it is a nice playing ground. A completely free space directly at the lake, near the most southern serious ski and cross-country skiing nature reserve of Sweden: "Hövfjallet" and an hour drive from the more cultivated ski area Branäs.
This authentic Swedish villa with 4 hectares of private land all around is situated in a picturesque area between Sunne and Torsby, near the estate of Selma Lagerlöf. It lies directly by the lake 'Stora Lisjön', with good swimming temperature and a slowly sloping bank (up to approx. 2 m deep). The Lindner canoe gives you complete freedom on the lake, so you can also go to the island to play or barbeque.
The house is fully equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, large garden with garden furniture and BBQ, a Harman Kardon player, an HD television with modern connections for laptops, DVD player with a collection of films on DVD, well stocked bookcases and games, and of course 4G internet everywhere around the house.
About half an hour's drive away is the fantastic ski and cross-country skiing area Hövfjallet, where winter sports in Sweden can be enjoyed safely, exclusively and very affordably; it has 2 black slopes and several red slopes, together with a Fun Park for snowboarders, so don't think it is peanuts. For the real sporty skiers, these slopes offer an enormous challenge if one undercuts the Telemark skis ! There is a great ski school where these skills may be learned. Hövfjallet also has great opportunities for cross-country skiing if it is too cold to go skiing. This area is really 'WinterWonderLand'.
