This place has what I need, but it has bugs that come out at night. They could do something about it to be perfect.

I actually did not stay there. There were people hanging around in the lobby when I arrived. I had to yell out to get someone to come to the front check-in. My son was with me, and he asked if it was safe and the person at the desk actually said the police regularly patrolled the area. We when up to the room but it was dirty and there were several unsavory people in the hallway and the hallway had garbage on the floor and one of the handrails going upstairs was not secure. I am a senior! Expedia should take this Motel 6 off their recommendations. I was really afraid. We later learned that this area also has a men's shelter close by. I was able to stay elsewhere thank goodness as I reside in the Chicago area. Being unfamiliar with Madison. I would have never booked a room there and I will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 ever! I tried to check-in around 8PM. Their exterior sign wasn't even turned on.

Found cockroaches in my room on the second morning. Lots of homeless people outside when I arrived. Also, the tv and lights were on in my room when I arrived…I assume that was to keep the cockroaches away.

When I was checking in a lady in front of me said she was no longer going to be staying there and the staff member asked her why and she said because you have bed bugs... I questioned the staff me and he said no they didn't.. we did check our room when we got to it and didn't see anything. The room was not the cleanest, but we were checking in at like midnight and we only going to be there a few hours. The bathroom did not have the middle part of the toilet paper holder. It was missing and it was not the cleanest . The hallways gross, they allow pets but obviously don't do good cleaning as there is dog kibble on the floors in the hall and not something that had just been dropped. We lived, but won't risk it again.

I needed a place to shower and sleep for the night while my husband is in the hospital. This place served that purpose. However, the people loitering the hotel parking lot and neighboring parking lot at night made me very uncomfortable and contributed to a restless night.

Disappointed by smoky smell
Despite being a non-smoking property the facility and room smelled strongly of smoke, presumably from previously being a property that allowed smoking. This was disappointing as the room had clearly been remodeled not too long ago. We will not be returning.
