This historic home was a pleasure to stay in. It was like stepping back in time. We shared the bathroom with one other couple, whom we never saw.
We had the music room, which was at the front of the property. There is a railway not far away and we were a little concerned about the noise however once evening came the train noise was greatly reduced and we didn't hear them again until morning.
There is a restaurant downstairs, we didn't have time to try it out. That went quiet by 10pm so no noise from there.
The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows.
The location is great, close to train station, shops and pub.
Breakfast was a 'help yourself' continental and had a good choice of cereals. There were juices, bread to make toast and some pastries and tea and coffee.
Would we stay again ... yes we will. We've already booked our next stay!
