Room full of Mold - Ruined the Rest of Trip
The stay at this hotel ruined the rest of the trip. I became sick and my friend had an allergic reaction based on the hotel putting us in a room with mold. After inhaling the environment mold elements that filled the room, I became sick. A sickness that I am still experiencing while typing this review. The rest of Cebu, Chaing Mai, and the plane ride home was not so good with me being sick. In fact I had to get out of my seat over seventeen times to blow my nose and to cough up cold during the plane ride back home. We didn't participate in going out at night to club because I got sick and I didn't get any souvenirs from Bangkok because I was sick. I barely ate anything after I got sick and also I wasn't able to get a massage in Thailand because I got sick. It all started because of this hotel room was full of mold. After informing management that our Room had mold. Management did move us to a better room, took care of our transportation to the airport, and give us a late check out. The three managers I met Lee, Manus or Venus, and a lady whom I don't remember were very nice to us after they learned what we experienced. Although this still cost us a lot of money for a vacation that was ruined with the mold.

Our stay of 3 nights was decent. My main gripe was the rooms were tiny, bathrooms too. The breakfast buffet was decent, albeit mostly cheap carbohydrates and very little protein. Our air con broke the last day and they recommended we change rooms but we were about to leave when we received the notice. The staff, however, were super friendly and super helpful. We also got massages at the spa and that was very good.

We had a wonderful experience during our two-week stay at the Bai Hotel. Overall, the experience was very positive. The front desk staff were exceptionally accommodating, and the security personnel were attentive, providing excellent customer service. The housekeeping team did a great job addressing our needs throughout our stay, even though we opted not to have daily room cleanings. They ensured we had everything we required. The gym was clean and equipped with everything necessary for a quick workout, and the elevators were quiet and functional. We encountered no issues with traffic. We spent an enjoyable evening at the rooftop bar and most of our breakfasts at the Wall Street Coffee Shop, conveniently located on the premises. However, I would recommend that management look into improving two areas. First, the currency exchange rates need to be more competitive compared to what we found at other exchange services. Second, the driveways could be better maintained, with attendants directing traffic more effectively. There were multiple instances when two vehicles were parked directly in front of the entrance, blocking access. During our stay, we rented a car and used the underground parking structure, and on more than two occasions, we encountered double-parked vehicles. Addressing this issue would likely reduce frustration for guests. Despite these minor concerns, I highly recommend Bai Hotel to anyone planning a visit to Cebu.
