The Cabin at Javi's Spring was a nice off-the-grid option for staying in the Marblemount area. First and foremost, this really is a beautiful setting off the Cascade River.
You certainly want to arrive during daylight hours. As you will need to start a generator and then start the invertor.
The negatives: While purchased through Expedia, all communication was done through Vrbo (which required me to get a Vrbo account). The instructions to get there could be simplified. After arriving, it took a bit of time to get setup. There are electric powered lights, as well as propane powered lights. Laundry is listed as available, but the washer did not work...and there were towels still hanging up from a previous visitor.
The positives: This cabin is truly a beautiful retreat. There is a large selection of books, full kitchen and a beautiful balcony. The cabin is well stocked with supplies like headlamps for hiking, cooking supplies and misc. food. For an off-the-grid cabin, the water heats up surprisingly fast. Wifi is available, but very limited...so just come prepared.
Overall, it's a nice retreat and if you are into glamping in the North Cascades, this may be for you!
