You can rest easy knowing your stay is covered with $1,500 in “All-Risk” Damage Protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via a security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by the guest. Both are cumbersome and often have big limitations in protection.

With “all-risk” protection, all accidental damage from a guest is covered unless specifically excluded such as, but not limited to, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage.
We hope you enjoy your vacation with peace of mind knowing that if an accident happens and damages occur, you are protected under Waivo.

Wonderful peaceful getaway
This place allows you to completely detach from society for a while. It's located on a large piece of land with lots of peace and quiet. We had a wonderful rest here.

Clean and private
Spic and span, and as advertised. Property manager was very responsive and pleasant. Lots of wildlife, from frogs to hummingbirds to owls, and what's nice is that it's central enough to a range of Hudson Valley attractions and activities but on a private road with virtually no traffic, so you really her to enjoy the sounds of nature and not the sounds of trucks or motorboats, for example, as one might at slightly "more convenient" locations.

comfort, trees, and Owls! oh my!
what a lovely space! the interior is smartly designed and decorated, an enclosed porch, cozy seating and bed and loads of quiet... we saw two large owls right outside our window on the very first day of our stay! we loved the beverage alcove for making coffee and tea every morning. we did cook and take advantage of some local fare. don't miss the burgers from Raccoon Saloon, and pizza from Brooklyn Pizza (which also serves mexican food dishes). we shopped for groceries at the Mar-ket. we loved the Ice cream from the local dairy barn Mary Jane's. we were able to get meat and eggs from nearby farm and veggies from a farm stand along the way. we wished we had booked for a longer time and are already trying to decide when we can return. My husband who is a birder lovingly cleaned and refilled the Hummingbird feeder and we were rewarded almost immediately with visits from little birds as well. fyi: entry code was sent through email from Hudson Homes so i missed the connection (vs. searching my email for vrbo) ps. it was too warm to take advantage of the Owl nest trail but definitely for next visit.

Peaceful getaway
We had a beautiful week at the Owl’s Nest. The property is tucked back from the main road and surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed walking the private trail and the nearby longer hike. The home had everything we needed, and then some. Plan ahead for food though— getting out to the grocery store is a pretty lengthy endeavor! We would love to return in the future.

All You'd Ever Want
We arrived at Owl's Nest as record-breaking heat engulfed the East Coast. The house is small, but within an hour you realize everything you'd want to make your stay memorable is right there—from coffee, tea, spices, a new dish sponge to the gift of a bottle of wine. The layout is so well thought through that none of us got in each other's way, not even the pup. It was a true pleasure to kick back, cook, shower (amazing!), and sleep there amidst the trees. And questions are answered promptly. The heat didn't dent our enthusiasm for Owl's Nest at all!

Weekend at Owl;’s Nest
We really loved the Owl’s Nest property. Everything was very well thought out. The interior was artistic, tasteful and very comfortable. Throw blankets, pillows, books and games were nice extras. We appreciated all the finer touches like the tile in the bathroom, artwork and the reclaimed barnwood accent wall behind the couch. The kitchen was equipped with every modern convenience-nice utensils, pots and pans and dishes. So nice that the host left a bottle of wine for us and that coffee, tea and spices were supplied! Everything was very clean. Though the bathroom and kitchen were small, all decor and appliances were arranged in a way that gave enough room to move freely. The linens and towels were ample and soft, the mattresses very comfortable. There were motion detector lights that made it easy to enter and exit in the dark. There were definitely a lot of wineries close by (within 5 to 15 minutes) and some nice restaurants within 15 minutes or further out around a half hour. Beacon was about a half hour away and Hyde Park around 45 minutes . A map of the property showed that there were hiking trails basically right outside the door. For us it was a little too buggy to hang outside or hike out in the woods at this time of year, but others might not find it so. The driveway is gravel and was a bit muddy after the rain. If planning to wear heels to a nice restaurant, etc. bring sneakers or low heels and switch out. This is a really pretty, woodsy property with a great two bedroom cottage, a little off the beaten path, with a cozy modern rustic, comfortable interior, privacy and beautiful scenery..A nice relaxing getaway that could include hiking, wineries, dining, Hudson valley towns, historical sights, etc. We would like to come back in the Faal.

Cozy spot
Had a great time staying here, beautiful light and spacious for a 2-3 person party. We brought our dog and it was perfect. The roads to the house are very windy, so the property manager let us know ahead of time and that was super helpful ! Would stay there again, for sure
