I enjoyed my stay - Caley was friendly and helpful. Place had everything I needed. Breakfast was basic with a good variety of items tastefully presented.
It was great stay.. hosts were pretty responsive and accommodating.. provided all necessary information in advance .. clean and cozy.. easy checkin and checkout.. lovely surroundings
Perfect for what I was looking for. Quiet, weather was perfect for hiking in the area. Cabin was awesome and had everything we needed and we used everything: grill, tv, gas fireplace, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, tub. Everything worked perfectly. Word of caution for bottom rack in oven: things burn quick, use middle rack only. Would love to stay here again in the Patton cabin!
New managers give life to an historic mountain Inn
Nice and historic Inn now operated by a young couple with a long history of inn keeping who are originally from the area. Very quiet and peaceful and well-located for our leaf-peeping expedition. We would definitely book there again if in the area.
Very beautiful Inn that is very convenient to town. Amazing owners!!

Amazing experience in the mountains, and the staff is really friendly. For a cabin, you don’t mind a little wear and tear on the building and furniture, but finding 10-day expired milk and half eaten stuff in the fridge as the only breakfast options was a bit insulting.
This location is so quaint and cozy with so much character.the restored cabins are amazing and we hope to stay on one next time. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. We loved it and will be back.
Excellent property. Detailed check-in instructions, directions to the property, continental breakfast information and checkout instructions were sent in advance. The owner met me on arrival and provided more info. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a balcony just outside of my room. Continental breakfast was available at all hours. This is a very rustic property but with completely upgrade facilities. It is VERY quiet. Cell service is spotty due to being in the National Radio Quit Zone but free WiFi is available. Definitely recommend!
If you want to get away from the city and close to nature in a safe comfortable small town setting this is the perfect place. We saw many deer, bunnies, squirrels and chipmunks and were surrounded by beautiful trees. There was a small creek across the road. You are in the woods but in a a small town. The Patton cabin was nice clean and spacious with a small kitchen with everything you need to cook, and a gas fireplace in the bedroom. It had a cute 2-person heart shaped whirlpool bathtub and a breakfast nook. The kitchen and bathroom was a little dated but it added to the charm. At night the cabin was dark and quiet. There was a good Italian/Greek restaurant, several bars and several grocery stores really close by.
Communications were quick and responsive. We even arrived just after the office closed, but received a confirmation text confirming the cabin was unlocked and waiting for us. The only thing that you gotta be aware of is the total lack of communication and cell connectivity in this part of the country.
They do offer WiFi and it worked great on my kids newer phones, but mine was so so.
A really enjoyable small cabin with everything you can need provided. For the same price or less than a cramped hotel room!
