I recall trawling through the hundreds of 5* reviews thinking that this surely must be too good to be true. Alas, after careful deliberation, we took the 'dive' and booked.
The riad is perfect for a couple/family who want an intimate and relaxing break with an exciting landmark just minutes away. The quality of the build is evident, the room was superb, and the facilities rivalling a luxury hotel.
The daily breakfast was fresh and divine - croissants, traditional Moroccan baked pancake type things, fruit, bread, eggs, jams, youghurt, mint tea, coffee - just awesome.
Finally, I introduce a man who we were both excited to meet having read the numerous reviews quoting his name, Nourreddine.
This man is a legend. He works his socks off and never shows a sweat nor a word of fatigue. He will do anything to help; talk through your best route to somewhere, recommend the best place to get x/y, walk you to your destination/taxi if need be, advise on anything under the sun. He was so welcoming to us, to the extent that he became a part of our holiday. (He's not half bad at card games / checkers either) Thank you!!
In conclusion, if you want to be near the hustle & bustle, avoid paying daily taxi fares to get there, want a quiet breakaway from overcrowded hotels, a personal feel to your holiday, be among the locals, and have an epic host - don't bother thinking twice. The price is exceptional too!
