Nice apartment and location, but poor booking experience
I booked through Expedia and soon began receiving outside emails requesting advance payment, even though my Expedia confirmation clearly stated payment was due at check-in. Expedia advised me not to pay, which I followed. When I arrived, the property informed me my reservation had been canceled — even though it still appeared active on my Expedia account. They offered a room but at a higher rate, which I accepted rather than searching for another place. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great central location close to shops, restaurants, and groceries. Staff were friendly, but the misleading payment requests and unexpected cancellation made the experience unnecessarily stressful.
