2 night get-away
Very nicely decorated log cabin/house complete with everything needed for an enjoyable stay - even had doggie dishes for our pup. Blinking lights around the pines out on the deck and driveway were a great touch. Great setting in the pines, next to the river. Wished there had been steps down to the river, even rustic ones (instead of the steep bank/slide) but I'm sure there was a reason why not. We stayed on 2 of the coldest days of the season so far, and the cabin/house was very cold when we arrived - it took quite a while for it to warm up with just those space heaters - but that's our only negative. I'm not sure that this place is rented out in the colder months, but if it is, plan to freeze! Lots of warm bedding supplied....everything was thought of.

It was okay
The cabin is well decorated but is very dim and kind of sad overall. The cabin needs more lamps and light. The sofa is covered in blankets to conceal damage to the upholstery. The futon smells of dogs and all of the beds are uncomfortable, especially the master bedroom which forced us to sleep in the kids’ room in separate beds. Neither tub was cleaned out prior to our arrival so I had to scrub both tubs to take showers. There is hunting allowed (maybe) on property nearby because we could hear gunshots at night which meant we felt unsafe going outside and enjoying the deck. The owners have an alarm that sounds like something mooing while you sit on the porch or are in front of the house that is very unpleasant. The water is not drinkable, so bring bottled water. The jacuzzi is nice

Roaches and mice
If you enjoy sharing your space with cockroaches and would love to bring them home with you then its great. Food and mouse poop in kitchen sink. Spiders, webs and mouse poop in whirlpool tub. Such a shame

Cozy cabin with lots of privacy
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The issues we encountered could be easily remedied in the future. On the plus side, the cabin was cozy and private, there were an abundance of towels available and the cabin had all of the basic amenities. We did, however, run into a few issues during our stay which were shared with the property management company. When we arrived, it was clear that the rugs on the main level had not been vacuumed so we did that after we checked in. I think most of the furniture is original, so some upgrades are probably needed soon, particularly the beds and sectional. Additionally, while the deck was great, it was effectively unusable because the only furniture on it was broken (chairs) and covered in sap, which I learned the the hard way. We also had wi-fi issues, resulting in it not being available for 1 day of our 2-day stay. Again, overall the cabin and location were great and the property management company was responsive. And, although the issues we encountered did impact our stay, I think they can be easily remedied for future stays.

Nice Property...But Bedbugs
Found many dead bedbugs in the boxspring of the master bedroom and also found a live one crawling on the sheets...it's unfortunate because the property was nice and we liked the private setting and dog-friendliness of the place. The deck was also overtaken by pine needles and tree sap, and I had to sweep so that it wouldn't stick to the bottom of our shoes. The TV was not connected to the network so we were not able to stream any movies, the DVDs and DVD player were a somewhat good alternative. As for the positives, the check-in and check-out process was easy. A/C was a really nice thing to have, especially on a 90 degree weekend. The area was quiet, just keep in mind that it takes about 15-20 mins to get out to the nearest town and about 30 minutes to The Dells. There are Tiki torches and fuel available for light if you want to hangout by the firepit at night. The screened in porch had ceiling fans and is a good place to relax during summer with pets.

Beautiful place, needs maintenance and management company change
August 21-25 2023. Please read to the end. Burned out light bulbs, could not find replacements. Greasy stove top (and pots) dirty towels on bathroom tub upstairs. Could not connect tv so we could not access netflix. Management company consulted, no success. Complete instructions at the house to get the system up and running would have alleviated a lot of stress. Deck chair seats were all ripped on one side of the seat making them unsafe to sit in. Deck covered in sap and pine needles, sap all over our shoes with pine needles stuck to them. No teaspoons, no sop for house except the directions on fridge. Management company was not helpful regarding getting the tv hooked up and the air conditioning sorted out. There must of been a brown out, 103 degrees last week, management was supposed to call back, never did. Thankfully the air conditioner started working again later in the evening. You need more dish towels, no dishwasher means you need to dry dishes We have used VRBO for 20 years now. By far our best experiences have been with homes that were not managed by management companies. You have a beautiful home in a great location. I want you to know that we had a good time with our family, its just that you're on the upper end of the rental rate scale and the house amenities/conditions were not up to the standards they should of been for that price point. Also, your description says that all surfaces are disinfected and that you can see the river, not really. :(

The cabin was a perfect quiet spot for a spring break getaway. We enjoyed hiking one day and had a spa day in the Dells another. Cozy and comfortable cabin.

Beautiful location, beautiful home
We chose this property because of its remote location and amenities in the home such as the fireplace which was clearly shown in the pictures and identified in the listing. When we arrived we found that we were locked out of the fireplace and were told that it was not listed as accessible in the ad. There was a snowstorm coming in so we were unable to change our accommodations due to the weather and just stuck it out. We certainly would enjoy going there again but hope that the listing party would correct their misguidance in the ad. We were compensated $100 for their oversight!
