On the lake
View was fabulous basically the whole front is windows. Beds and furniture comfortable. Shades were clean and easy to use for privacy or to block the morning sun. Ceiling fan for cooling. There is furnace heat so I didn’t have to try and light the pilot lite of the gas stove. The high was 40 degrees the first 2 days so the heat was appreciated. The upper deck is very narrow more for standing out there and looking. If you do sit sideways the rail blocks much of the tree line view. Photos did not show the width. Downstairs deck more user friendly. Fairly private other than one neighbor which can be blocked out in the living room by the shades. The only criticism I have is that there was no sign that says the running water is potable from the lake. It probably said in the description but I reviewed a lot of different sites and if so did not remember. It does say in the house booklet but I rarely look at those first thing. It should be posted so people can make their own decisions. That said, I always carry a couple of gallons of water for emergency so it was no big deal for me. Weather was too cold to really enjoy the outside of the house-go figure in mid June! Did enjoy the peacefulness of the view from the inside

Great house - need to improve management
It’s a very special location - very beautiful view and spacious home. We spent the weekend playing cards and relaxing. We were disappointed property management did not leave us a snow shovel during a major storm…. Only an old broom. And forgot to take out the prior guests’ trash. The kitchen is well stocked but there’s no salt and pepper, olive oil, etc (what I would consider basic cooking stuff). So simple improvements could greatly improve the stay

Amazing Lake House
The house was amazing, the view was breathtaking. Beds were comfortable, we were provided with everything we needed for our stay. My only complaint is all the additional fees. I feel the per night was a fair price, but after all fees, we ended up paying over double the actual price for two nights during the off-season. Would love to come stay during the summer, but when we checked pricing it was completely unaffordable for only three nights after all the fees

A quiet relaxing time. The cabin is very clean and was spacious enough for our family. Very quiet area of the lake and close enough to plenty of activities. Will go back again.

Very Nice
Nice place with a beautiful view. Kitchen is well equipped, DVD player and dvd remote are not dependable, cozy atmosphere, nice shower, WiFi would be a good option, small children use caution with deck and loft balaster spacing, and the place was nice and clean. Thank you for having us.

Did not match description. Mgmt communication no follow thru
The area is spectacular and breath taking. The view is out of this world. Stay outdoors and you’ll have a great time! However….Secluded? Somewhat… if you don’t mind standing at the kitchen window staring at your neighbors on their patio 30 feet away and listening to the woman talking on her cell phone when you are out side enjoying ‘peace & quiet’. And you will be standing at that window doing your dishes since theres no dishwasher and waiting for your butter to melt in the 20 year old microwave. Be careful to step ‘down’ into the kitchen - theres no warning. Light switches are a challenge to locate (at knee level). And opening & shutting the cabinet doors is an acquired art. “Woodstove?” Not quite … a gas stove is more like it .. & good luck laying on the floor trying to finagle it to come on or stay on despite the verbose instructions. Bring a flash light. Be warned ahead about the cable Direct TV satellite dish. There is NO INTERNET .,, you might miss this point when you see ‘cable’. You can only watch whats on at that time , many repetitive channels ALL with an uncanny amount of commercial interruptions. No Netflix, no Prime, no Hulu etc. You’d better have unlimited data on your cell phone plan. Also, the ad mentions a “stereo” …a.k.a. small cd player/radio. There were plenty of board games however. And there is a dvd player … but bring your own because they don’t rent them in town. Bedrooms are nice but the mattresses in both rooms are soft and slope on the sides. Go figure. The 3rd night I just slept on the floor. But tons of blankets, however the pillows are all FLAT. Living room is okay and outdated with a couple old pillows, and a scruffy chair thats seen better days. Remove the glass top on the coffee table as it is not kid friendly and slides off easily with sharp edges. The View from the living & dining room is spectacular without question. However if the weather is rainy you have to stay inside as there is a very short overhang on both decks. It does come with a stackable washer & dryer … the bearings on the dryer went south on our 2nd day mid morning. We called right away and were told to expect someone at 1, and then “in the afternoon”. No one came or called. No call or follow-up from Vacasa. Bring your own laundry detergent. Bathrooms were nice, & there were plenty of towels. Only one shower … if you’re a big person forget it, take a bath in the tub in the other bathroom.

Great house
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our only issue was it had snowed so much we had to shovel our way to the front door. Luckily we had brought our own shovel or we wouldn’t have been able to get in the house. Amazing views. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy. We would definitely come back. Make sure you notice there isn’t any WiFi in the house and we wish we had brought dvds or something.

Great location
Great location. The house needs updating and the cleaning crew needs training! We arrived to the cabin at 4pm - Vacasa said they were doing “extra cleaning” but when we arrived it was not cleaned. There were COViD masks left behind on the property, water left in tea pots on stove, towels were hard to find until we looked in the dryer. I had to wash sheets since the beds didn’t not look or feel clean. The tables were not wiped down and I could get food off by scrapping the surface. If I am going to be charged a cleaning fee- I don’t expect to have to clean it when I arrive. That was very disappointing. I will be requesting my cleaning fee be refunded!

Beautiful property
We stayed here with our two young children and had a memorable week in McCall. The photos are accurate- it is right on the water, with a perfect little dock out front and only 15 minutes to McCall. It is simple, clean, well presented, and the view is totally amazing. We were looking for something reasonably priced that was right the lake and this fit the bill perfectly. We stayed with two young children, and we had plenty of space. It is really not a big fuss walking up a small staircase get to the bathroom from the bedrooms below, and it is a small sacrifice when you see the view, location, layout, and cleanliness of Huckleberry Rose. The road is close but because you are further out of town, cars don’t pass that much and you hardly notice them passing... honestly there are more boats passing the house than cars! This place is total heaven, highly recommend, and would stay again!

Water front cabin
Cabin was nice as billed, but bathroom upstairs is inconvenient if you’re old or a diabetic. Vrbo and the owner of the property were not fair to us in our opinion, called two day before our arrival, told us wagon Wheel road would be closed for construction and I would not be able to access the cabin for 8 hours during the day. Having worked for a city during my working life we had to notify home owners at least 6 months in advance for road closures, they should have known this. But when I said this would not work for me, they charged me more for the three days we were able to access the cabin, which they called premium days I.e the weekend, instead of prorating in a fair way for the inconvenient position we were put in that was caused by their mistake. My other accommodations for the remainder of my 4 day stay cost me even more money, due to having to book so close to arrival. They never offered to compensate us for the cost of this either.
