After a bad experince with best western last week in springfield missouri when i checked out 10 mlns after checking in, i was going to cancel this booking but i am so glad i never this hotel is a little gem, close to restaurants, aldis and a local dive bar. 10 mins in a uber to city center and very close to churchill downs. There is a bit of background noise from airport and interstate but you can hardly hear it with the air con unit on. Fernando on the check in is great and very helpful.pool could be bigger.but adequate. We had a great 3 night stay here during a heat wave so were glad we dld not have to walk to far. I will stay hete again.

The beds are very comfortable and the pool is nice. The rooms have small fridges & a microwave. It’s my understanding that the furniture is about to be replaced which will be a plus. Very close to the airport (5 minutes) and most shops are within a few miles. (10-15 minutes city drive time)

Room was fantastic one of the best layouts/floor plan ever saw in a room. Large, clean, updated. Plenty of room for 3 people to move around. Breakfast was a whole different experience. What I would presume was the housekeeping staff was making the breakfast area their own home-dining area. 5-7 of them hanging out at the food table, one eating her food leaning up against and blocking the chafers. Another filling her bag with items. Making waffles, carrying on loud conversations. And the food was not even good. The potatoes were cold and uncooked, like someone had taken thawed freezer home fries and just dumped in the chafer. When I pick a hotel, I weigh the value of a free full breakfaat with what I think is a reasonable rate. The room was very nice. But I did not get any value out of that breakfast. Actually, I just got grossed out. (The front desk person was very nice and professional though).

The air conditioning in our room did not work well, so the room did not cool down. The bed was too firm to be comfortable. Louisville airport, which was nearby and is a major UPS hub, has flights arriving and departing all night long, so it was very noisy there. Definitely would not stay there again.

We booked this on a road trip back home. We rolled in after 11pm and the front desk could not have been any nicer! This was appreciated after a long travel day. We were thrilled our room was super clean, bathroom was nice and the bed was comfy. The location was perfect just a couple minutes off expressway, close to airport so a little industrial but area was quiet. We would stay again!

The check in was awesome! Beautiful young lady was very polite. I was disappointed with the shower. No pressure at all!! Old shower head. The towels were kinda old as well. The mattress was awful. I only got like 3 hrs of sleep and both of our backs was not the best when we got up. Lastly, the t.v volume would not turn up!!! I had it on "100"!!!! LITERALLY!!! We could barely hear it. Especially when the air conditioner would come on!!!! And one of my favorite movies was on... Other that that. It was a good stay. Thanks

I loved the stay. The rooms were up to date and very clean . Loved the wood tile flooring instead of carpet. My only complaint would be that you can't be in the pool alone even if your an adult. I would have liked to enjoy the pool on a nice day while my husband was at a meeting but could not. That rule needs to change. I can understand under 18 or 21 not being alone but for a 46 year old to not be able to enjoy that time was not a great thing.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Property was ok, could use some updates. A surprise was free dinner on Friday evening. Breakfast was ok, typical buffet style breakfast. Area was kept clean and fresh food kept coming out. Would recommend for a night or two.

We felt very unsafe due to the people that were placed next to us - tried to get in our adjoining room, they were smoking, they were up allllllll night with phone and beeper ringers going off and talking and multiple people in and out of the room all night long from 10 PM til 6:30 AM when we just decided to get up and leave to go sleep a few hours in the car so we could get some sort of rest. Actual sleep was under 1 hour, even though I called down to the front desk multiple times to get the issue resolved. The noise, calls and door slamming never stopped. I was told upon check out there was nothing that could be done to compensate us (myself, husband and young son) all b/c I never asked to be moved! So, I guess I should have conformed my sleeping schedule to the other guests "working" schedule or I uproot my whole family in the middle of the night to be moved. I will NEVER stay at a Best Western again! The staff were nice but did nothing to resolve a terrible nights stay. Worst nights stay we have EVER had in a hotel!
