We booked a balcony room they said they upgraded us to a Diva suite. It overlooks ugly art facing a bunch of other people’s rooms. The tub didn’t hold water and the beds were super uncomfortable. The staff also told us that if we didn’t get our rooms serviced they would give us back $20 a day. Asked about it in checkout. That never happened.

We expected more from this hotel considering the room rate, in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in. It is located within the Korea Town precinct of Melbourne CBD, and is just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. Some of the Reception and restaurant staff were lovely and helpful, but others were quite blunt. The hotel is relatively new, but our Dorsett King room, which was apparently an upgrade, was a bit on the small size. The buffet breakfast was fairly basic in the choices available.
