I booked this apartment as it is very close to my sons house. When collecting the keys at Fitzroy Street (I didn’t like that you had to pick the keys up and check in at a different location) I was informed that the room was no longer available as it was being renovated (I booked the apartment in January). They had contacted me and left a message 5 days prior but I did not see them prior to checking in. Why did they not keep trying? Renovations do not suddenly happen so why was I not contacted weeks before? They offered us a different location in which we stayed 1 night in Blessington Street. It was supposed to be a 1 bedroom apartment but the bedroom had 2 bunk beds and the sitting room had another bed in it. Not suitable for our needs. We were able to get a refund for the remaining nights.
Great location. Comfortable bed and easy to keep tidy. Great to have a laundry on the premises.

Clean but basic.
Staying in Melbourne for the week for work Limited choice due to Grand prix plus proximity to co-workers. Off site reception OK, they drive you to apartment then drop you with no help with bags, no lift. Apartment was a good two blocks from Balaclava shops and tram. Quiet except for tolerable rumble of train adjacent. Inside was stuffy and no security on windows (door also had no extra latch) made it hard to air. Aircon on wall in kitchen - stretch to reach. Kitchen OK with full stove, fridge and microwave. No coffee maker. Bed OK, but the furnishings are tired and drab. Bathroom OK with basic pump dispenser toiletries, two towels and mat. Hairdryer in cupboard.
Charges are annoying. $75 if you don't washup and $25 extra if you request a change of linen.
Pots are cheap and need replacing

Handy
The check in was great and easy. It was not a problem that the check in was away from where we were staying as we were taken to it. The staff throughout were friendly. There were 4 of us staying and 3 towels were given. It would of been nicer to get 4 and 1 hand towel. The kitchen utensils were very basic. We had to buy things like scissors and bigger mugs. A few extras would of really made our stay easier. The standard of the way it had been cleaned was poor. I found we were washing the cutlery and dishes and wiping down areas and remote controls when we first arrived. The location was great. Handy to a local park which my children loved. A supermarket is around 5 minutes away and cafes are easy to get to. Overall we had a great stay. Security around the property was great.
I found the Hotel to be a reasonably comfortable and suitable accommodation. You have nearby Chapel Street for eateries and shopping. And the other direction, Balaclava for eateries and Coles for your grocery needs. The full kitchen gives you flexibility to cook for yourself, saving money.
I enjoyed my stay and would do it again. A 15min stroll through Alma Park to the Avenue Hospital was ideal. Where my partner was undergoing surgery. I felt secure at all times.
Be aware when booking that there are rooms on a second level also. Rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms are small.

Having to check in at a separate address is inconvenient after a long drive, and it doesn’t help when the staff are rude. Having to pay for parking at the actual motel is also a bit ridiculous.. have never had to do this anywhere else throughout Australia. The room itself was fine, however we had to take the mattress off the foldout couch and put on the floor as there was no support so I would have been rolling into my other half all night.
Took 1500 out of my account with out telling me for damages that were already there when i checked in! Manager simon will not answer my calls or emails and has hung up on my dad 4 times. has threatened to charge me more

Reasonable stay, would stay again. Facilities were acceptance.
The fold out bed needs a new mattress. The steel bar across the middle hurts your spine. Impossible to sleep on it. And no curtain on the kitchen window !!!!what the hell!!! Looks like we are getting up at sunrise then!!! And the neighbour can look straight into the room!! This is by far the worst room I Hav stayed in through wotif. Very disappointing
In the minutes between starting to book this room at a quoted price and settling the payment the price went up over 10%. I consider this unprofessional and I wonder if it is legal to falsely advertise at a lower price and then charge a higher price at the payment step.
We were left with half a roll of toilet paper for a three day stay.
We requested the iron be changed twice as it was dirty and sticking to the clothes. We finally gave up as the third iron leaked a disgusting white fluid onto the clothes.
Handy place, easy for public transport if you’re visit, inexpensive, secure parking, clean and tidy. But.
Noisy at night yet quiet during the day (!). small room but that’s ok. biggest beef was the blinds don’t actually give you complete privacy as they’re set back from the window a bit so anyone walking past has a reasonable chunk of clear vision.
When I first saw the place from the outside I thought it was going to be a little bit grungy but as soon as I got inside I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice, clean and modern and I would stay there again.
Outstanding service from the friendly staff. Clean and up to date apartment.
Comfortable and relaxing stay.
Would highly recommend!
Close to shops,supermarket and cafes.
Have no complaints.
Great lace to stay for inner Melbourne or Dt. Kilda. All amenities were there and were adequate. But as some one who is 170 cm I couldn't reach up high enough to use the microwave oven or get the glasses from the cupboards. Awkward.
Also I had packed all my belongings up and went to get my car to load everything in. When I went to open the door my keypass would not work!! It was 10:02 am and Access had already been blocked. Fortunately for me the manager was onsite that day and he unlocked my door so so I could load my car and leave. Again life could have been very difficult because of this - a clear warning would have meant that I was a ltttle earlier and not licked out!

The apartment was clean and comfortable ,close to were I wanted to be.
The trains pasting are noisy and the next room's early morning alarm is VERY affective. ..for all .
I think it was good enough to recommend it to the others

Nice basic apartment
Easystay apartments Raglan St are a basic apartment style accommodation. We were missing a few things and a male staff member was very helpful in getting them to us as soon as possible. The location was good, right near a park that the kids enjoyed playing at, and not too far from shops and public transport. We did like that the apartments had a secure front gate as well, although the driveway is a squeeze. It would have been nice to have one free towel change over the week as the thin hotel towels don't dry well, especially in winter.
