Restored by an acclaimed local architect, Casa Caballo is ideally located to enjoy the historical center of Merida. The first floor of Casa Caballo is an open plan living room, dining room and kitchen; perfect for family gatherings and relaxation. For your downtime, Netflix is available on the smart TV in the living room. You also have a Bluetooth speaker to permit listening to your own music. The dining room table is a custom piece made by George Samuelson, a local furniture artisan. Hi-speed wifi is available throughout the house.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. Purified water is provided, as well as coffee. The refrigerator has ice made from purified water as well, so no need to worry. We provide you with basic kitchen equipment and appliances including a toaster and coffee machine so that you can fuel up with a satisfying breakfast to start your day. Coffee, creamer and sugar is provided -- no need to run to the nearest mini-mart for these basics. There is a half bath off the kitchen.
The kitchen leads on to the patio with a sitting area and pool. There is a BBQ on the patio for those days when you want to grill rather than sampling one of Mérida’s fantastic restaurants. There is also an outdoor shower if you want to rinse off when you get home from a day of touring. The patio is completely enclosed by high walls for privacy and security. There is a half bath off the kitchen. The washer and dryer are located in the storage room off of the patio.
Upstairs, each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The master suite is very large, with an attached sun room and private patio overlooking the pool. There are two twin beds in the guest room, which are perfect for families. The bedding and sheets are selected to ensure a good night's rest.
The house has a light and open feel with the addition of numerous skylights for ventilation to help keep things cool as well as mini splits in all of the bedrooms and living spaces.
High speed wifi is available throughout the house. And the home is equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are all provided.
The house features custom made furniture from Yucatan Custom Furniture, furniture and lighting from Takto (including the dining table made by George Samuelsson) as well as antiques and artwork made by Merida’s local artists.
This property has street parking available. For an additional fee, we can provide parking in a secure lot 2.5 blocks away.

Other things to note:
Check in is available after 3pm. Check out is before 11am. We may be able to accommodate an early check-in if availability allows. (Let us know if you would like you drop off your bags early so that you can enjoy Merida while we get the house ready for you)
We allow smoking on the balconies and any of the outdoor areas, but it is prohibited inside the property.

Deposit: A deposit of $500 is charged and held when the reservation is made to cover any damage during the stay. An additional security deposit will be required for stays longer than one month.
Maid fee: For rentals in excess of 1 week, weekly cleaning as well as pool maintenance will be provided at no extra charge. Contact us if you are interested in additional cleaning for an extra fee.
Electricity is included for stays of 2 weeks or less; and for stays of longer than 2 weeks, no electricity is charged unless the usage greater is USD$3 a day for the 1BR or 2BR homes, or USD$5 a day for the larger homes.
Pet fee: One small (under 15kg) pet is welcome, but the guest is responsible for all damage caused by their pets. An extra pet fee of $75 will be charged.
Extra guests fee: Each guest after 4 will incur an additional fee of $15 per night.
Furniture and décor from pictures may differ. We are always upgrading and improving the look and feel of our property for the comfort and pleasure of our guests.
