I had my laptop stolen from inside my locked hotel room while I was out. I had left my laptop discretely packed in my backpack, and left it inside my hotel room. I'm very careful with expensive items while traveling. On the last day of my stay, I discovered that my laptop had been removed. Thankfully, no other items were taken.
Management was less than prompt in investigating - I noticed at 6am and immediately spoke to the front desk, a security team came to my room and looked under the bed at about 10am, with standard checkout at 11am. I was not shown any security footage, only told that "they didn't see anything unusual." While I appreciate any amount of attention being paid, and I'm sure that there have been other travelers who reported something stolen only to find it under their bed, I would have hoped for other steps to be taken - such as interviews with housekeeping staff and reviews of security footage. I was not given footage. The hotel did offer a late checkout, however, the keycards we were given stopped working at 11am and it took multiple trips back to the front desk to get them working again, sort of defeating the point.
I was very frustrated to receive absolutely no follow-up communication or even a response from the hotel despite emailing them repeatedly for multiple days. I was assured that the hotel would follow up with staff and review keycard logs, however, I have heard nothing.
Unfortunately can not recommend this hotel due to major security issues.
