I really like the free water in the lobby. The hotel staff are friendly. Our room, 104, had a window that was located next to a squeaky flag pole. (Our window was between the U.S. and Mexican flag.) The flag pole was squeaking the entire stay especially when there was wind, and it was disturbing our sleep at night. Lastly, the smell of paint from an adjacent room that was being renovated during our stay was so strong I needed to leave our room to breathe fresh air. Overall an OK experience except for these two notes.

A beautiful Hotel right in the center of Mexico City at a very reasonable price. Great buffet breakfast. The view of the Cathedral and the plaza from the roof top patio was spectacular. Very friendly staff.

Quick check in with free potato chips, coffee and biscuits plus water at reception. Room was tidy with a bar of welcoming chocolate. On site restaurant is convenient, well priced with plenty of food options. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the historic district
I picked this hotel because of its location in the heart of the historic district and because the photos looked really nice, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The room was clean and comfy, the staff was fantastic (especially the concierge Laura, who helped me book tours and taxis), and the location was wonderful. Definitely recommend!

This was our second stay at the Hotel Catedral and again the hotel is simply a class act . Nothing is too much trouble for the staff , the rooms have everything you need and the location can’t be beaten - right at the Cathedral and the Zocalo

Noisy and dirty carpets
Carpets were super dirty and walls very think in the “old tower”. My neighbors were talking literally all night and I couldn’t sleep, even with earplugs. They at least let us check out a day early. Rooms in new tower looked much nicer so stay there if you must

Everything is near to the tourist places but its very hard to get to the airport AIFA. We like hotel to visit again but the Airport travel makes us unconfortamble to visit this city again.
