Beware of front desk staff. Shower had mold
I had high hopes for this hotel. I read some of the reviews by previous guests and the responses made by the hotel and assumed all concerns were addressed. I booked a King bed w/ balcony and ocean view. Arrived from the airport after 8pm. A woman named May was at the front desk. While looking for a room, she uses her walkie to call house keeping. They told her the room was not clean in Spanish. She relayed the info to a man named Paven, who was also at the front desk. He told her to give me a double room in Spanish. They were not aware that I know Spanish. When May gave me my keys, she assured me I had a king bed. Went to the room and to my surprise, it was a small room with 2 double beds. No balcony. It gave dirty motel vibes. Went back down to the front desk, and spoke directly with Paven. He told me that all the King beds were overbooked for the night and I would have to stay in the room with the double beds for the night and then could possibly be changed to a king bed room in the morning. I told him I heard the conversation between him and May and wanted to know why I was being lied to about the king rooms being sold out. He stated that housekeeping left for the day and the other rooms were not clean and said I could spk to the manager in the morning. I told him I would only accept the room I paid for. He called the manager on the phone and said he would go check for a room. He came back and said a king room was clean but not in the system. I was given the king room
