The Elser is our home away from home. The minute we waltzed through the grand lobby with our dog Ricky Ricardo we were welcomed with big smiles and helpful hands. The staff here at this Hotel/Residence Resort is 5-Star 5 Diamond to me in every way. They accommodated my upgrade due to Platinum status, I was given a Rum Punch and a cool towel to clear my hot sweaty forehead. Our dog Ricky Ricardo was given treats and a little water for his doggie bowl. He was prancing around like he owned the place. "El Presidente" we call him at the Elser. Our room was immaculate and the kitchen fully stocked with every utensil, plate, glass, ice, liquor, wine, snacks, etc. The beds are like falling into a cocoon of paradise. Soft down pillows and medium firm mattresses. The location is ideal being next to Freedom Tower, The Heat Dome, & the Cruise Ship Port. Shopping and restaurants on every corner, including Monlolo's and Ceviche 105 our 2 favorites. We will be back 3 more times before the year ends and we can't wait to see everyone. Ricky Ricardo our Perro is already packing his leash and doggie treats!

Beautiful space, including the lobby, gym, and rooms. Staff was quite friendly too, except front desk made me feel uncomfortable. We asked about the free drinks that were to be included with our stay, but they said that it’s a welcome drink they have everyday from 12-6 pm. I mentioned that we didn’t receive it when we checked in, and they said that if we came back tomorrow they MIGHT have it. In the end, we still never received it and were too uncomfortable to ask again. I just wished they gave us a straight answer instead, and didn’t make us feel like we were trying to get something free out of them when we were just asking.

Great place to stay. Close to many attractions. Beatiful facilities. Only thing you need to be aware are the hotel fees and parking fees, since there is not self-parking and valet parking is the only option. If you do not care about the extra money that in my case was close to the same daily price I pay for the room then you should go. It is a great hotel. Everybody friendly and they try to address any issues super fast.

Not-so-Luxe, Luxe hotel..
- The room was dirty when we checked in. - Bed had crumbs on it, and bodily fluid stains on it. was dirty. So much so, that my wife's white socks were almost black after 30 minutes of walking around the room - There were orange pills under the dining room table. My 3yr old could have ingested that. We didn't notice them until the second day. - We asked for someone to come re-make the beds. We never received that service. Instead we had someone drop off extra linens so we could re-make the beds ourselves. (Not something we want or need to do when we're paying that much to stay at a hotel) We also got a speech about how the staff is over worked and the gentleman told us that rooms get remade every 4 days. Which makes sense, given the state of the room when we arrived. - The "perk" was a scam. The complementary drink was essentially premade, sugary, chinola juice. Not what we were expecting from a "luxe" hotel. - the prices were definitely "luxe" though. Mini bar was EXTREMELY over priced. Drinks at the pool were overpriced. - The pool bartender was rude and nasty to my wife when she asked him why our dirty martinis tasted like nothing but vermouth. She explained to him that vermouth isn't mixed into the martini. It's used to wet the glass. A googable fact. Instead of owning up to the fact that he did not know how to make a martini, he had an attitude with her and was sarcastic, saying things like "whatever the customer wants, right?" + much more. Not enough characters
