It's situated 1,000 kilometres northeast of Moscow, the national capital of Russia.

After some additional close-by destinations? Vezhayka is about 25 kilometres to the northwest, so jump in the car and start exploring! Alternatively, Mezheg, 45 kilometres southwest of Mikun, is also worth the time.

Heading to Nizhniy Chov? This place is just 85 kilometres to the southeast. If you're setting up base here, make sure you check out the Komi State Academic Drama Theatre, the Syktyvkar State Savin Theater of Academic Drama and the National Museum of the Komi Republic.
