Good enough

Check in was in the Club House as this hotel is closing on 1st November - and will reopen under new management. Room was clean, and had everything I needed for 1 night. Bed was rock hard. Room door lock on inside didn't work which made me sleep with one eye open as dark car park was outside my door. Great shower and bathroom Gym was good.

The room was clean and generally good. The main issue was the smell from the bathroom which was probably due to drainage in the country. You could not have the bathroom door open as the smell would be in the bedroom. When you went into the bathroom it was quite vile. The staff at the hotel were excellent and obviously the smell was not their fault.

Peaceful stopover with good restaurant

Lovely hotel to stay at when in area, we were there for Silverstone weekend and it was within easy reach and also close to shopping at Milton Keynes

Twin single beds were comfy. Room was clean as was shower/wc. Walls were quite thin as could hear those above or next door moving around and flushing loo. Which was only negative around accommodation. Did have evening meal as seemed expensive and to a an American Dinner off site. Skipped having their breakfast as this was £14.99.

Rooms clean, although rather small, and bed comfy. Reception is a desk in a resturant and the phones in the room don't work so you have to walk there if you need anything. Asked for an iron and that was broken and leaked everywhere. Electricity tripped during out stay and had to ask for that to be fixed. Staff friendly and happy to help, but feels like they've run out of money to maintain the hotel.

Excellent 2 day break.

Everything looked new and sparkling clean. The twin room was very spacious, bed comfortable. The main window only opened a small amount. A bit annoying because it was very warm during our stay. However, a table fan proved to be essential at night. Fabulous view from first floor room across extensive lawn and large lake. All rooms have a similar view. Food very good and nicely served.

We had a two night stay at the hotel and were pleased with the quiet location, cleanliness, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Ate in the restaurant first night and food was very good. Lovely view of the lake. We didn’t have breakfast. The shower tray is very slippy, would suggest a mat or grip strips to be added or something to hang on to. Limited space around the sink to put wash bags etc.

Good for short trip

Nice clean modern room & bathroom, could’ve done with a couple more teabags. Evening meal real nice & excellent service. Breakfast disappointing, in view of the size of restaurant a freshly cooked to order breakfast would be better. Bacon & sausage under cooked & only white sliced bread for toast.
