Perfect ambiance for D&D
We had a group of 6 who all wanted to get away to play D&D. The cabin was absolutely perfect for us. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The view was gorgeous with the clouds billowing over the top of the nearby mountain. The only “problem” with the property was that the dryer didn’t work. We didn’t sweat it and just hung up the clothes to dry. All in all our time in the cabin was very relaxing. We all adored the bear decorations and the Christmas tree that was there!

Family Holiday Get Together
Papa Bear's Den fit our large family of 10 very well with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all. The common areas were a little tight to accommodate everyone at once though. House is lovely, but as another reviewer stated, does need some updating: outdoor furniture needs updating, some protective railing on porch missing, pool table in poor condition, nothing major that reduced our enjoyment of our vacation. Property management was fantastic, allowed us to check in early and was immediately responsive to a call to fix a minor plumbing issue. Advertised average nightly price is fair for the property, however based on our long VRBO rental experience, we felt the holiday pricing structure to be a bit high for this property due to the 'well loved and well used' condition.

The cabin was good however the ad stated high speed internet. There was no high speed internet. We planned to vacation while working and were not able to enjoy the cabin as we would have liked. We had to drive down the mountain to the Starbucks or Ingles supermarket and work from there. Otherwise the Cabin was lovely. There are a lot of lady bugs so if you are not a fan of lady bugs beware. Management did bring us a Verizon hot spot that did not work either. Verizon phone service data plan or internet will not work.

Layout of cabin was great as was the location--very private--with a great view! Kids loved all the 'bears.' Only drawback was everyone couldn't eat at one table.
