Overall good, the kids pool area was a nice bonus. Breakfast was very mediocre. Our room was in the vicinity of a loud barking dog the whole first night. Had to pay for parking which I didn’t know about upon arrival. Always just assumed if I was paying for a room I’d have a place to park for free. $10 a day for parking. Had some good restaurants near by and conveniently right across from the mall. Housekeeping did not restock towels or toilet paper which was not ideal.

This is a Wyndham? I'm shocked because I usually have such more professionalism from this lodging brand. The shuttle driver was so impatient and determined-to-be-right. What a terrible first impression for travelers, to have a person like that at the front-face of your hotel. I was standing in front of a sign that said "Terminal 1," and your driver yelled at me for several minutes because apparently there is another place to meet her that was unclear. Once I finally found the driver, the shuttle ride felt very unsafe being locked in a van with her. She shared my personal information with another passenger in the shuttle, which felt further unsafe. Upon eventual arrival at the hotel, I had to wait in the cold lobby for several minutes to check in, even though I already did the "express check in" before arrival as directed by the hotel. I saw the shuttle driver twice in the hallways later, and I again felt unsafe given the words we had earlier. Why is she in the hall instead of the shuttle/driveway? This place is too chintzy to even put a pen and scratch paper in the room. Unsafe, unprofessional. Not recommended, unfortunately.

Front desk staff was nice during the day. Evening and night staff were either rude, lazy or just didn't care. Room was average, although the shower head in the bathroom sucked. Hot tub jets did not work. No one monitors the hot tub and even though it says 14 and up, many younger children were in the hot tub. Staff in the pool area yelled at me for having a water bottle but said nothing about young unsupervised kids in the hot tub. 2nd night the hotel had a large wedding reception or some other kind of party, we could hear the music until 1130pm. Kids running up and down the hall and staff did nothing. I expected a better breakfast for the price of their rooms. Bagels, cereal, yogurt, sausage and watery scrambled eggs. 1st morning no coffee creamer but it was there the second morning. It was convenient to be so close to the MOA. We did use the shuttle without any problems. Both our drivers were incredibly nice and friendly.

Perfect weekend getaway
We were in town for our daughters’ cheer competition and my husbands birthday. The hotel was peaceful and we loved being so close to MOA and so many dining options. For the most part the hotel was peaceful and quiet. Only on our last night do we have rude guests in the room above us. And unruly kids running up and down the halls.

Nice location/A Few Issues
We were assigned the wrong type of room and staff stated that they couldn’t fix due to no manager. We had baby and specifically had reserved a non pool side room due to noise. Breakfast had an hour and a half left and food was not replenished. The waterpark was so cold and hottub was out of order. No shampoo in our room. We arrived to find out there was a “new” parking fee. Comfy beds and with some adjustments it could be much more enjoyable.

We were in town for the St Paul Ice Show. We had trouble waiting on the shuttle service. The breakfast was basically bagels, cereal & watery instant eggs. The hot tub was working properly.

I met family for a Vikings game. The shuttle we were supposed to be on didn't show up after we waited for 45 minutes along with 2 other groups, we had to walk back to the hotel. When calling to inquire where the shuttle was, the front desk told us it was 4 minutes away. It never showed up.

The hot tub was not working the first night and the following day the jets were not working. The continental breakfast was poor. Do not rely on the shuttle service. We waited 45 minutes and decided to walk the 1/2 mile to the hotel since it was so cold outside.

First of all our room was moldy smelling. Perhaps the carpet needs cleaning. There were no usb ports in the room and the shower had mold on the grout. The front of the vanity was all scratched for 200.00 for one night I expect comfortable pillows, not rocks and certainly a room that smells fresh. Then lets discuss the parking situation. Having to pay to park in an unsecured parking lot that is not covered. Seriously!! I definitely will not use Wyndom again. I feel that I should be reimbursed for the parking and at least half the room cost.

As Best Western, great! As Wyndham HORRIBLE!
As one who has stayed at this hotel numerous times since 2011, this recent visit will be my last. The pool water was cold and mildew could be seen. Mildew was also in the shower. Breakfast was cold and they ran out of many things and coffee was horrible. The real kicker was now they charge $10 a day for parking. Nearly $25 for two nights. It’s unfortunate as I used to always love the breakfasts and my son loves the water park but will not be returning. The new ownership under Wyndham leaves a lot to be desired.
