We had a great time while at the hotel. The only thing we did not like was the fact they charge for parking and added city tax once we checked in, which was not explained by Expedia.

The unit did require some maintenance. The shower connection on the wall was at risk of disconnecting. The toilet had a tendency to continue to flush after use. Not easy to sleep with water running. I was however able to fix it myself.

Overpriced and STINKY
The woman working the front desk on Saturday 10/6/2024 at 1:00 was incredibly rude. My room smelled like an old, dirty ashtray, dirty floors, dirty and smelly shower, grout in the shower was missing or moldy, at least 5-7 inches of mold spores growing on the wall above the shower. Rooms above us were LOUD. On the positive side, the young man trying to check the herd of guests in at 4:00 was working alone and was very polite. There were also plenty of towels provided and the screen door opened fully which was a necessity to keep open all night to diffuse the old ashtray odor of the room, RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for nearly $300 plus the surprise fees they added at check-in. Perhaps the new section of the hotel is better? I guess we will never know...

The staff were great. The room was pretty dated and which was okay, I feel like it's the character of the hotel. I think for the price a night they could take some of that money and update a few things. The lamp by the bed had mold all over the top of it. The bed was nice and comfortable.

Small bathroom and shower with no place to put toiletries. We had no fridge in our room and the bed was very small. The woman checking us in and out was not very friendly or helpful. We had dinner in the Irish restaurant and the server, who was friendly, was not very attentive. The food was just ok.

The hotel needs updating and cleaning, it has an old musty smell. The deck was dirty and the deck above was covered in cobwebs and dust. You pay a high price for location only.

I could not sleep until 2 am when the noisy nearby bars closed. Also: the furniture was old, decrepit and broken in our rooms. This hotel needs a serious update. I won't be recommending that anyone stay here.

Overall, the room was nice and comfortable. The cost was understandably high due to location; however, one of the lights didn’t work, the shower head was very small, and we expected better. Also, an annoying design feature did not allow independent control over lamps on each side of the bed. This meant walking to the entry to shut off lights and also made it hard for one partner to go to bed while allowing the other to have light on their side.
