Moltrasio is a destination with plenty of cool stories to tell. If you reckon your life's been a bit humdrum lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

From Moltrasio, head 140 kilometres north to get to Vaduz, an important city. You can also take off 170 kilometres north to spend some time at another excellent city, Canton of Zurich.

Out of Moltrasio, it's just 20 kilometres west to Induno Olona. Stop in and see the Sacred Mountain of the Rosary, a famed attraction that hardly needs an introduction.

Carate Urio can be found 2 kilometres to the northeast and is home to some excellent things to see and do. Villa Olmo and Cathedral of Como alone make the trip worthwhile. If you needed any more convincing, you should also check out the Volta Temple.

There's nothing quite like spending a day by the ocean. During your stay, make a day of Piona Beach, 35 kilometres to the northeast.

You won't need to be stuck on the road all day to see some nature around these parts. Just 6 kilometres out of Moltrasio, the Como-Brunate Funicular is a terrific place to get out into the fresh air. More peaceful surrounds are waiting for you at Verzasca Dam, 40 kilometres away.

What could be more entertaining than cheering yourself hoarse at a soccer game? See the Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio battle it out at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, located in Bergamo, 50 kilometres away. Or, experience the electrifying atmosphere of a live home game featuring the Unione Calcio AlbinoLeffe.

Church of St Anthony and Piazza Vittoria are not far from the centre of Laglio, 4 kilometres to the northeast. Looking for more? Cernobbio, 4 kilometres to the south of Moltrasio, has Castello Baradello and the Teatro Sociale.

Sitting 5 kilometres to the north, Schignano is a place chock-full with things to do. Church of San Zeno, Sanctuary of Sant Anna and Argegno Marina are close at hand. That said, the Argegno Cable Car to Pigra and Cathedral of Argegno may be more your thing.

With a little preparation, making your way to Malpensa International Airport (MXP), the nearest airport, won't be too difficult. It's just 40 kilometres southwest of downtown Moltrasio.
