Service was amazing, even the reception lobby is lovely. The staff was always attentive, the breakfast is out of this world, best breakfast ever in a hotel. The fireside area with pizzas and wine/cocktails was amazing and the Foray restaurant adjunct to the hotel is great. The beds were perfect, coffee maker in the room. My only complaint will be the ac was timed and at night I couldn't fix the temperature to my preference. But everything was on point. I will definitely stay again!

This hotel was brand new with beautiful rooms and finishes - very modern but cozy. With the exception of one staff member who was very irritated and rude when we (politely) asked if early check in was available. Otherwise, when we finally arrived, all the remainder of the staff were incredibly welcoming and super friendly. The free breakfast is incredible! Seated in a quaint but beautiful breakfast room, you can choose to eat inside or outdoors by the fire they have going near cozy seating. The breakfast dishes are served like small tapas plates. They are beautifully plated, and portion sizes allow you to choose a variety of items and feel satisfied and ready for an active day without overeating. I couldn’t believe that level of service and quality of breakfast was free! This is an incredible hotel in the very charming Carmel by the sea downtown - with walking distance to a variety of boutiques, incredible upscale restaurants, tasting rooms, art galleries and just a few blocks from the ocean. Would absolutely recommend staying here for anyone who values a nice, fresh modern place to stay with great service and thoughtful touches throughout the entire guest experience.

Perfect for a Romantic Weekend
The Stilwell was absolutely perfect. The rooms were exceptionally clean and modern. The staff were all very friendly. We particularly loved the multiple outdoor locations with water and fire features. It was in a perfect location. Will definitely stay here again!

First rate experience! The location is walking distance to a ton of great bars and restaurants. Arrived with complimentary Champaign. The service was amazing. They had a pizza oven and great cheese plates as well as awesome selection of local wines! The rooms have all the bells and whistles. Then to end they had a complimentary breakfast that was exceptional. Will be staying here for every trip to Carmel/Monterey!

Booked the room last minute and arrived late. Staff was waiting to welcome me and get me checked me in. Room was super nice and wife loved the luxurious bed linens. We both enjoyed a great night sleep and the outstanding breakfast the next morning. Overall an excellent experience overall and will be our “ go to” hotel the next time we are back in Carmel
