We really liked the Wave Street Inn. Location was GREAT. Staff was friendly and nice. The only downside was the beds as the matress seemed old and worn down, if laying on the bed always felt like I was going to roll off.

Cute, clean, safe
We stayed at this hotel for our first night away as parents. We loved the location we were able to walk everywhere on cannery row and were able to drive off easily to other parts of town. Front desk was friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early which was nice. We were on the 4th floor and felt like we had the place to ourselves. I loved the security features on the elevator to get to and from. The room was clean and well kept. My only concern was the fridge didnt feel very cold and I dont think the windows were sitting right. The one in the bathroom I could see had a gap from the window to the frame and the ones in the room wiggled in the frame and there was a lot of condensation on the windows in the morning. Other than that i feel like i had a great experience and would come back again.

Nice Monterey hotel
Great hotel in fantastic spot in Monterey just steps from Cannery Row! Nice rooms, reasonably priced and super nice staff. I’m glad to see now that it’s changed from the Otter Inn (which we used to enjoy) it’s still a very nice place to stay, and the upgrades are a big improvement.

Place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Clean, convenient located by ocean, aquarium and wharf and so much more. There are fire pits at the property and tons of restaurants. Staff was helpful. No complaints here. I would stay again!

The rooms are nice, but it’s worthless to stay in a nice room where you can’t sleep due to the extremely noisy environment of whoever is staying above you and next to you. The walls and floors are super thin and just there to keep you from seeing your neighbors but certainly useless when it comes to hearing every conversation and angle of movement from your neighbors, I didn’t get any sleep at all. The hotel is Very Overpriced, there’s an extra charge for parking ($17), and if you have issues there is limited support from staff if that even counts. Don’t stay here, choose someplace else. The high ratings this hotel has are a scam.

We had a lovely stay at the Wave Inn. Our room had a view of Monterey Bay. I was surprised that housekeeping tidied the room each day.The staff was friendly and helpful.
