Overall good - need to improve small things
My stay was pretty good overall, except for a couple of small issues. Unfortunately i couldn’t get into the room because I had been given an incorrect combination. There was no staff on site and the support line telephone number was incorrect. I wrote an email to the management and received a quick callback and they resolved the issue. So it was a little confusing 30 mins during check-in. The room had an old ac unit which smelled. It was a tolerable smell which I got used to during my stay, but slightly annoying. The room was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was really well maintained. I thought it was a good hotel. If they work on the little things, they can really be a top rated establishment.

The location was amazing and there were so many restaurants and things to do, on the same street. The actual hotel was so cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway.

Clean but in need of remodelling
The hotel has very dated furniture and fixtures, but everything was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. It would be nice if they could get rid of the old fashioned bed spreads. The bathroom had been remodeled, which was nice.

The hotel is in a very good neighborhood close to two metro stops and near downtown. The staff are wonderful; they took the time to explain the features of my room to me, and when I wanted to go to a museum made sure to give me very detailed directions, down to which exit I should take from the subway stop. The only real issue I had with the property was that the bed was a little uncomfortable. But I was very pleased with the hotel overall, and recommend it.

Old world feel
I was a little nervous not speaking French in Montreal but the staff here was welcoming and bilingual. Location is perfect to explore Old Montréal without being in the touristy part. Tons of restaurants within walking distance up and down Rue St. Denis. Our room had a small living area with Murphy bed, bedroom and bathroom and was on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator, so pack lite. Spa tub with jets was wonderful! Decor was old world European but very clean. Little breakfast room had flaky croissants, cheese and nice raspberry jam and yogurt. Parking was convenient, 3 blocks away in the library for $17 a day (24hours) and a 15 minute unloading area on the street in front of the hotel. The only suggestion would be a foam topper for the bed which was firm. Wonderful overnight stay and would love to return for a longer visit.
